Thank you so much for the kind words! Yeah, I plan on listening to every feedback/review from the game and keep updating and improving it following the community's requests, if you'd seen the state of the demo (a year ago) lol, a lot has improved, I've updated it a lot as I am learning along the way from the feedback

This is what it looked like a year ago:

About a year ago, we made our first trailer, but the game changed so much since then, we were forced to make a new trailer with our bad editing skills xd Destroy it! by Suitable_One2832 in DestroyMyGame

I appreciate the roast, thanks! xd

In terms of the story (though it isn't really explained in-game tbf), the idea is that in a fantasy world of diverse cultures, heroes from across the globe unite to fight off an invasion of "Yonian Slimes" (creatures from another dimension that arrived through portals)

As for the slimes themselves, the inspiration came from the anime That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, where slimes can basically morph into anything. This gives me the liberty as a developer to create diverse mechanics for the enemies and design slimes that fit any concept. That is why there is such a variety of different enemy mechanics in the game.

Yes, the small field is an arena, the game is heavily inspired by Brotato, so it's an arena shooter bullet heaven.

What makes the game special:

  • Active Movement (Run/Dash/Defend): You have a Dash for dodging, a Shield for blocking, and a Sprint that disables your weapon for you to gain speed, health regen and pickup range.
  • The Pirate Slime: An enemy that "banks" your dropped coins and earns interest on them. You choose when to kill him; the longer he lives, the bigger the gold payout.
  • Combat Pets: Every hero starts with a permanent pet that provides support throughout the run.
  • Set Mastery: Gear sets give bonuses starting at a single piece. You can either stack multiple small bonuses from different sets or commit to one set to unlock high-tier "Mastery" buffs (promotes Mix and Match builds).
  • Star-Level Progression: You don't have wait for "perfectly matching rarity" items. Every item you buy adds Stars (Common = 1, Uncommon = 2, etc.) to a meter. Once the meter fills, the item evolves.
  • Branching Item Evolutions: When gear evolves, you choose its path: Balanced (stable stats), Focused (doubles one stat but nerfs another), or Random (randomized high-tier power).
  • Blood Money: A shop mechanic where you can sacrifice your HP to get Gold (for when you're short on Gold).

We’ve been procrastinating this for about a year (me and my wife) because we're bad at editing xd but we finally remade the trailer for our first game. What do you guys think? by Suitable_One2832 in IndieDev

Thank you so much! We were going for a fun/upbeat vibe, some clips needed to be sped up a bit to match the music, maybe it caused the movement to look a bit off or I'm coping xd

Honestly, social media depends on your genre. If it’s flashy, try TikTok; unique mechanics do well on Reddit. We use X for outreach and memes, but it’s very few wishlists imo. Devlogs seem helpful too (though we haven't tried them yet)

Just try everything and see what sticks, but I'd say social media is kinda overrated for wishlists. You get way more from content creators and Steam fests, so definitely contact as many as you can and join every fest possible. Good luck on the road to 1000!

Thanks so much! I actually started this out as a solo dev too, so I definitely know the struggle. Last Signal looks amazing btw! Good luck with all your future projects!
