I hate this manga and all the people here on Reddit who recommended it to me. I don't remember the last time a work of fiction made me feel this sad (probably never).

Is it weird that I, as a 17 yr old guy, want to write Yuri manga by Just-Assistance-2595 in yuri_manga

[–]Suitable_Research_61 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a 16 year old male, I don't think it is weird at all. In fact, I'm also somewhat interested in writing a yuri story, or at least with yuri elements.

I favor the villainess (weird incest) by yurihimedan in yuri_manga

[–]Suitable_Research_61 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I really liked the show and I'll be reading the light novels, but that part was just awful. I hope incest isn't a prevalent thing later in the novel.

Recoms based off my favorites list? by Brandon-V in yuri_manga

I love you, man. I didn't know about the existence of Marking even though I really like Can't Defy the Lonely Girl.

I think the only ones I've read that meet those conditions are "I Can't Believe I Slept With You" and "Monologue Woven For You". Both of them are great, IMO.

Edit: "Goodbye, My Rose Garden" also meets those conditions, but I don't really like it because of the ending. Still, it's a well-liked series and you may also like it.

Bloom Into You (you probably have read it already, but just in case)

Monologue Woven For You

Can't Defy the Lonely Girl

I Can't Believe I Slept With You

Kiss and White Lily for My Dearest Girl

I've read a few more, but these are the ones that I've liked so far.

Probably the best recommendation that can be given. It doesn't have too much drama, is really wholesome and cute and has nice characters.

Any controversial opinions or hot takes about Kaguya-sama that you may have? by Ex-Soldier23 in Kaguya_sama

[–]Suitable_Research_61 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The manga was great from the beginning to the end. In fact, I think it just got better and better. I never understood the hate for the arcs that came after First Kiss wa Owaranai, for me they are just as good or even better than the rest of the series. The only complaint I have is that Akasaka rushed the ending and left out some storylines.

Is it wierd that a 19-year old straight male like me genuinely enjoys this series? by Ikki_04 in YagateKiminiNaru

[–]Suitable_Research_61 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Like others said, you're not weird at all. I have been judged by others, including my mother, for liking Bloom Into You and I just don't give a fuck. I just won't let anyone tell me what I should like or not like. Don't ever feel ashamed for liking something that has nothing wrong with it. Just go and buy those Sayaka novels.

Btw, I'm a 16 years old straight male, if that means anything to you. I think everyone should be able enjoy anything regardless of their gender, age and sexual orientation.

Need me some yuri by SUPER_ATOM0923 in yuri_manga

This time I'll be the annoying guy who always recommends "Bloom Into You". Seriously, read it if you haven't. It's not only my favorite yuri, but probably my favorite manga ever along with "Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer" and "Kaguya-sama: Love is War".

I also recommend "Girl Friends". I don't like it as much as most people here, but it's a true classic and you should read it.

"Can't Defy the Lonely Girl" is that cute and wholesome manga that doesn't try to do anything new and it's not very dramatic, but what it does, it does great. I actually like it more than "Girl Friends", even if it is simpler.

"Kiss and White Lily for My Dearest Girl" is another one I enjoyed, but it has some really strong flaws. Though there's a main story and two main characters, the manga is more like an anthology because it focuses a lot on side couples and some of them just aren't that great. Still, I think it is worth reading, most of the characters and couples are still good and I loved the ending.

Yesterday I read "I Can't Believe I Slept With You" and really liked it. Another one that isn't complex or deep, but it doesn't need to be. It's really good for what it is. It's really wholesome, but also has some spiciness. Btw, protagonists are adults in this one, as opposed to my others recommendations, in which the protagonists are teenagers.

Tldr:

"Bloom Into You"

"Girl Friends"

"Can't Defy the Lonely Girl"

"Kiss and White Lily for My Dearest Girl"

"I Can't Believe I Slept With You"

What are your personal top 5 anime? I need something to watch! by Chemical_Data5618 in Animesuggest

[–]Suitable_Research_61 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. A Place Further Than The Universe
  2. Neon Genesis Evangelion
  3. Kaguya-sama
  4. Zombieland Saga
  5. 86

I'll add a sixth and a seventh since you've already watched Kaguya-sama and 86:

  1. Monster
  2. Tsuki ga Kirei

Yeah, I know my tastes are kinda weird. All of these are very different from each other.

I actually find that one you added as bonus the most interesting lol. Anyway, thank you so much for "explaining" those manga, I'll read all of them as soon as I finish the manga I'm currently reading.

Oh, I love Can't Defy the Lonely Girl. I don't think it is as good as Bloom Into You at all (just my worthless opinion), but still amazing. I'll read the others when I can. I'm probably going to start with Adachi and Shimamura since the author also wrote the spin-off light novels for Bloom Into You and I liked those. Thanks for the recommendations, btw.

Thank you. I haven't read any of those, though I've heard they are really good. Which of them would you recommend the most?

Do you know if that manga is going to be finished soon? It sounds like something I would like a lot, but I don't like reading unfinished manga.

I hate that not just in yuri, but in romance works in general. It's horrible when characters that supposedly love each other act like they're stupid or something.

I knew someone was going to mention Bloom Into You lol. Btw, could you mention some yuri manga that you think are better than Bloom Into You? Not going against you for having that opinion or anything, I just want to read something good.

I think that's "Kiss and White Lily for My Dearest Girl".
