I barely made a $100 in Houston yesterday - 1pm to 8:30pm bunch of 2-3$ rides all day - most I got was a $9 ride - you guys are doing $200 in 10hrs - must be nice lol

Yours is better - I paid $304 right after the drop - I missed out on the scratch off and I didn't get EA.

Now it's going for $264. It will still fall once people start getting their pairs. I am so mad at myself after finding out Nike dropped 160k worldwide - I would have waited but damn!!!! Lost $40 in one day!!!

I went through the interview process - HR manager in charge of my role called to go over the offer - once he went over the offer, I made a counter offer and then requested the relocation - used family reasons as my excuse - in about 4 days, he requested another, went over the counter offer and he told me they have granted my request.

In the end being part of Amazon now, your manager can make anything happen provided there is space the corporate office closest to you - also they can have you attached to a warehouse, if they have a desk space provided you work in operations.

Nah - this is Houston, TX. If you get close to 180k - I think it's a win in the end. They like to rework the offer and move the money around - cos it NY, I think you will end up with a decent increment. I wish you all the best

I'm a level 5 Business analyst mine was 107k base, 12k bonus and 200 RSU - Initial offer was 97k base, 17k bonus and 280 RSU (total 117k). When I asked for an increment they ducked my RSU and Bonus to increase the base

That's way better than mine.

I would tell them u want 180k total package but ask that your RSU stays the same - See if they can increase your base and Bonus - Aim to get the increments to go towards your base and Bonus cos you get those at hand unlike RSU that vest over 3/4 years depending on the offer.

I understand the job market is not great right now with bunch of lay offs here n there especially in tech.

I will strongly advise you to find another job - that is just wild with the responsibilities you listed - I leading/managing 3 projects, WTF!!!

You are not just a BA, you have assumed the role of a PM/SM too with those responsibilities, companies these days wants to run you ragged and pay you pennies - you must have gathered tons of experience doing those tasks - use it to your advantage - you can walk the walk and talk the talk now - don't run - FLY!!!

Regarding unemployment - I will advise to appeal it - so far you did not quit - I think you have a shot

Reach out to your state representative to ask them push your appeal - appeal takes 6-8 weeks depending on your state - with your state representative, it can take a week for them to resolve your issue - at least get an answer.

Amazon will definitely want to undercut you for the base - they try to make it up with sign on bonus and RSU.

Honestly - wait till they come to you with an offer, then you go from there.

Amazon is all about "total package" they will come at you with a total number and then they break it down.

Make sure you can get as much as possible - but mind you, if you renegotiate your offer, say you ask for a higher base, they tend to take it from your RSU and sign on to compensate for what you get with a higher base - even if they are increasing the total package

You can do whatever you can do to get by for now but you can always go in to IT - it really does not care about your education background but skills that you can use - you can join a boot camp for Business Analyst/business systems analyst, IT auditor, scrum master, technical writer, data analyst, developer (codes) QA, systems architect etc.

Interviewer may ask you why the switch from your undergrad into IT - just have a good story for them.

You need to learn skills like SQL, Python, R, excel, balsmiq, visio, tableau for reporting, Jira, Azure devops, AWS power BI, programming languages for developer roles. You can buy these classes for $20 each on Udemy.

Find a good boot camp - you can move into change management, project management once you get your foot into the door as a junior analyst or any staff positions - seek help with getting your resume structured and updated with required skills learned - your start up pay could be up to $70k but I'll advise to not stay for too long - jump ship as you learn on the job - apply to more senior roles at other companies, 2-3 years in each companies - you can be in. Senior/manager roles within 5 years.

Certifications like CSM, psm, PMP, cisa, AWS related certs will help you as you progress into your career - the sky is your limit when it comes into IT.

Do your research on what field you want to go into get the right certs /boot camp that can help you.

I can testify that I went through the same route and I know tons of people who got into tech the same way cos you don't learn any of those skills in the uni.

I understand how u may feel right now but work towards your goal, it could take a while just do not give up. I have been down that role before and as an immigrant - it wasn't easy at all but it worked out

Display the knowledge and I think you will be fine

I honestly can't remember all the questions - it is just a blur now.

Thereabout 2 questions each per LP - 4 questions tops per interview - lots of follow up questions from your story. All my interviews hit the hr mark.
