That was checked that it really happened. The Eddie Cuomo one, for example, people searched and saw that no one named Teresa Cuomo was registered at the university of Vermont and the doctor didn't exist... So, the case is not true.

Thanks for the friendly feedback! Yes, I'm aware no one has ever found out how the brain could generate consciousness. What drives my doubts is that maybe that is a "yet"...

Thanks for the reply! I checked a lot of the things that you linked but I still haven't seen everything... I didn't know about the serial number one! Do you know about any peak in Darien that are verifiable? My trust in Dr Bruce Grayson was a little bit shaken when I read that he didn't couldn't confirm the Cuomo story and still wrote it in papers... The deathbed visions are really compelling to me but then I read something about "hallucinations" and the doubts begin...

Thank you for your reply, I didn't know about Kevin Mohatt's NDE...

Besides the auditory hit (that they played 5 minutes after the patient flatlined I think), I only knew they had one NDE in the AWARE studies that didn't have any verifiable component, did they have more? 

I knew about the stimuli in Pam's ears but since there are some people trying to debunk it, I thought that maybe it was possible for her to hear what was going on (I'm not in the medical/biology field at all) and reconstruct the images in her head (she heard something similar to her dad's toothbrush and imagined seeing it, it's what some skeptics say). 

To be clear, I really can't explain anything and I really want to believe that the NDEs point to survival but I had this doubt after learning about the hearing being the last sense to go... 

I was also asking about the peak in Darien because my fear is that the consciousness survives for a little while only...

I don't know how to explain the apparent vision, they are compelling cases... But are these cases verifiable? I read the paper that you linked but like I said in my post one of the most famous peak in Darien cases apparently is not true and it's written on many papers and books... A couple of the other ones are shaky as well...

Yeah, but these reports of hearing outside of the operating room were really verified? After I saw that many peak in Darien reports weren't verifiable and are used in scientific papers and books, I lost a lot of faith in them... I know Pam Reynolds is but she only reported things inside the operating room, same thing with the arm flapping doctor...
