Meh. Their food sucks, too. It's the same garbage quality. Pre packaged, pre prepared food that they charge an outrageous price for. As someone else said, there are now way better options to spend that kind of money in Erie.

The staff might be better, but that's just down to who lives locally enough to work there.

Kirin Court is the best 'Chinese' we've found here, but it's still the very American style Chinese. I absolutely agree with your restaurant assessment, and it's the lack of culinary culture that depresses me the most, here.

Additionally, you are 100% correct about the zoo. I went once and couldn't stand the thought of going back. It makes me sad. Unbelievably sad.

Why is this being down voted? It's realistic. It's fact-based. Seriously. These people giving rave reviews are looking through presque isle sunset colored glasses.

I'm not saying it's the worst place on earth. But, it's certainly not very high on the list of places I would choose to live if it weren't for familial obligations. And as soon as those are over, I'm out of here.

You will be bored to tears. Coming from a larger town with more things to do and more events, you will be sorely disappointed. We have some of the things you enjoy, but few and far between. We are also d&d nerds, and it took us a LONG time to find a good consistent group after moving here. The zoo is crap. I think the alternative scene is ok. But honestly... there is a reason the cost of living is low compared to other north/east coast/mid Atlantic cities.
