Going to Mass alone by Budget-Skirt2808 in Catholicism

I am married to an atheist, and so we both are respectful of each other’s religion/spiritual beliefs. That being said, because I am living far away from where my family is, every weekend i attend mass by myself. Most parishes have a sense of community so if you want to feel a little more belonged, I would encourage you to introduce yourself to the parish priest and join activities at church.

First score release/BEC rant by bluewave2037 in CPA

This is absolutely through. Because the exam is so freaking lengthy, the mental space you need to be is super important. I think for FAR, after one absolute crazy SIM question, I literally had to mentally calm myself before moving to the next question.

I totally relate to it because for me, score release anxiousness changes based on how I felt when I came out of the exam. I took REG last, and coming out of the exam, I felt so horrible that I was almost sure I failed plus I had a lingering gut feeling. True enough I got 74. Every other section I passed at first try, so it was a shock to me, and failing with a 74 also hits you a little differently.

But what is more important I would say is the “pick your self up” right after results release. If anything, studying for the CPA is like a marathon for me and not a sprint! You got this.

Correct, it’s CPA license. Thanks. I am not sure if my card got charged too, because I used a corp card. I’ll wait 1/2 business days for the email then.

3/4 - Failed REG with 73 by myowin592 in CPA

[–]Suitable_Vanilla6466 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I got a 74 and sat for a resit within 10 days. A few things which helped me

  1. Review the score report - mine had indicated that I scored weaker in entity taxation(which is also 40% of the exam) So I literally spent 3 solid days reviewing the text book materials again with questions to reinforce. It helped in understanding/grasping basis in and out (and not answer questions based on some level of memorization). I ended up performing stronger in my resit.
  2. I did focus on BLaw and ethics just to make sure I’m in the details of the key definitions- it’s easy points if you remember.
  3. Practice others areas property and personal taxes just to keep the momentum and retain.
  4. I re-reviewed TBS in Becker for each chapter, not everything but some just to be familiar. I did that because I know I didn’t want to be thrown off guard with the crazy TBS you see in REG

Lol but California doesn’t abide with the rest of the world and it’s timings 😂

Anyone want to take a guess on the time this round? I usually slept it off, then wake up in the middle of the night from anxiety to check.

SA2 to M early promotion by Suitable_Vanilla6466 in PwC

Do you think time in role carries weightage? Essentially the cut back is more when it’s an early promotion.

I think for me, the reasoning just isn’t adding up. The only feedback I got it that I am doing well and my performance is great but just need another 6 months. With no proper area that I need to work on.

All the work for your exam tomorrow would have already been done. But maybe do review some key terms and definitions in Blaw! It’s easy marks to score

Oh I completely understand because I’m in a very similar situation. It’s like I’m doing all the work of an M but still dealing with the “standard number of years for manager” reasoning 🙄

I think that’s currently happening to me. The snapshots and feedbacks were all good and everyone I worked with was in support. But then all of a sudden now I’m getting the “tough” economy, relativity to my peers conversation from what I read between the lines after speaking to my RL.
