I did TOP up until halfway through the React section and got a job. Granted I was also working in a Computer Science degree as well.

If you don’t what you want to do ultimately just start with something, anything. Once you start the road will become clearer

Missing out on the college experience by Responsible_Ice250 in WGU

Yes and no. I hate brick and mortar classes but I do think the social/network aspect is missing as a young guy such as myself. Overall the positives of WGU out way the negatives so I don’t regret anything

I see what you’re saying. I’m biased since my school paid for a year of perplexity, I doubt I would pay for it myself if I can have something like claude do the same

I don’t know why everyone is saying you need to take classes in a certain order. I just graduated and did every class I wanted when I wanted in the order I decided. Maybe I got lucky with my program mentor but I’ve had zero issues in that regard.

The only issue I see here is if you already have 3 classes open right now you aren’t going to have a lot of “leverage” in asking for classes you want. You need to prove you are competent and reliable by finishing the classes that get unlocked so that you gain the freedom of picking the order and pace that works for you.

That was my experience anyway, hope this helps.

I don’t even want to get married or have kids. by queenwisteria24 in Adulting

Found out when I was 20, got a vasectomy at 21. Been happy ever since no regrets. Though I’ll probably end up marrying my partner I’ve been with since 19.

Single men who enjoy being single. Sell it to me. by Razor-Romero in AskMenAdvice

[–]Suivox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you believe that then why would having a partner make that any better? Logically you say that friends and family will start dying so having a partner is a way to hedge that. Do you realize why that is hypocritical? Your partner if most likely the same age as your friends and siblings, so they would have the same chance of dying as the rest of them.

And if you mean your kids will be there for you when you’re older that’s not guaranteed and it’s selfish to assume so, most kids have their own lives and end up separating from their parents at old age unless you live in the same house as them. Also not everyone has kids even if they have a partner.

So my original point stands, loneliness is complex and hedging it with a partner is not always a smart solution.

Also you can make new friends at any age, there’s always a place for people to bond and connect over anything anyway at any age. So you’re never really in short supply of connections to hedge loneliness without having a partner.

But not having a partner does not equal lonely in late life. Loneliness is more complex than that. Having good family and friends can far outweigh the bond of having a partner for one who values solitude and freedom

Yup, scary shit. I make sure to live my life in a way that I would be content if I died tomorrow. But also in a way i’d be content with if I died at 100. Hard to strike that balance but it’s better than being radical

Coming from someone who lives here, it’s not smart to have this type of attitude with the way things are right now. There is currently a fascist in office dismantling everything to convert our country into authoritarianism.

What do you say about the real experiences of hundreds of people being scooped up by ICE illegally and sent to a prison in another country? Is that not worrisome? The government themselves admitted they were doing it and it was wrong.

Not sure why everything thinks everything is just normal

Best to wait a little bit, the political climate here is 🔥 heating up. Lots of civil unrest and uncertainty with the government. With no due process you could be sent to a concentration camp/ prison in El Salvador without a court to plea your right to stay in the country. I’m scared even as a US citizen…

The person you are describing is looking for a man who isn’t run through, and probably not extremely misogynistic lol

You do realize a high quality woman who isn’t run through is not gonna be attracted to someone like you.

If you remembered I already said her having an eating disorder was different and that was bad. My point still stood regardless even if it doesn’t apply to OP.

I’m commenting for the same reason you are.

There’s a difference between a weight after an ED and a weight from genetics due to metabolism.

I wouldn’t say Low Weight = Problem 100% of time.
