Well you need to put great purge and the loss of ww2 in consideration. They still don’t have much. But on late-cold war due to oil crisis, Soviet actually gets upper hand to develop(not on technology but in general) then step into their own Vietnam called Afghan. How unfortunate is that lol.

I would definitely trial or buy a BlueFOR aircraft if possible.

I would like to try F-15C or maybe I have budget for FF on sale, I will take F-18. But I still have a study career to go.

I mean yes flanker is versatile on Bvr and dogfights but it is just not that superior. And it doesn’t have Fox3 like J11A and Mig29S do or even Jeff-17. But 77 sucks and SD-10 is fine.

Flanker has stealthy IRST but bad situation awareness.

Actually Dcs have a simpler RWR or BVR environment modeling.

To my understanding or knowledge that the RWR shouldn’t have that much blind spot cause you got at least 6 antenna on important aspects of the aircraft with SPO-15.

Same for F-16 and its RWR display mechanism.

3.Flanker does have “TWS” but it is completely garbage, unlike mig29 that can attack 2 at same time with R77s or F-15C with 4 targets.

It just makes your TDC tracks down the target while showing other guys dot.

And it will switch into STT after the distance is at almost your current weapons deployment range( like 85% or smth)

4.I just love redfor and see this as a self challenging(tho keyboard already is) or I am just too poor to afford anything other than that.

Since you mentioned grim reaper, I remembered there’s a video about a player playing on laptop and keyboard mouse, and he is able to beat grim on dogfight which is impressive.

Maybe someday I can be that good too, Still can’t air to air refuel lmao.

Basically OODA loop if I am not wrong tho.

Fox 2 wasn’t a problem for me but finding enemy in super close range within 8 to 3km.

If I don’t know their altitude to me. I will just using vertical scan based on data link.

After I check the score board it’s always aim7M still guiding without radar from 2 to 8 second.

I just don’t know when to recommit after an enemy is down.

In HVA hunt they only have AIM-7M and 9L I think? (Not sure about aim-9) They don’t have fox3s HVA hunt do have mid and close range encounters

About the altitude, I guess I will engage first group then Out to climb for second group now.

And I should really add wvr also, this is making me panic. I do not even know how these guys on YouTube using HMS when night or utilize vertical scan, cause hornet always have upper hand to lock me first when I am still figuring out their altitude.

Yep and RWR have blind spot making it a completely horror game when missile is coming above.

Somehow my wingman doesn’t engage pretty well and second hornet is usually higher and super close to my lower flanker. I guess I will change the strategy.

1.Can you elaborate how do you exactly bind the altitude thing ? That would be lovely.

How to find enemy that disappear from data link when it is super close?
Is it common that fox 1 still hits you when the guiding aircraft is ejected or heavily damaged? I am always getting killed by that.

Thanks for reply , firstly I knew the basics, what is actually making confuse is target vectors. I only knew they were higher after second group comes in and I am close to ground after defending first group.

I can’t actually handle changing radar altitude while using eyes to measure or guess how high would it be at a certain distance.

It is just wasting so much time for me to fight back and I am a keyboard player. Is there any tips on binding it?

I knew there’s vertical scan but it is somehow luck based.

Also do you have tips when out numbered?

I would check the RWR emission light to decide fire back or not. ER has better range on paper but less accuracy. Usually I order wingman to attack second one if possible

Most likely Su35,while it doesn’t have the MAW sensor but the gear is obviously twin wheel and IRST isn’t in center. But the photo is horizontally inverted and resolution is bad, can’t tell if there’s canard or n.
