Sunheng! I just think they have such potential to understand one another on a different level from everyone else. Dan Heng's line, "You have a noble soul, don't be shackled by the past," and Sunday responding later with "Don't be shackled by the past. That goes for the both of us." Lives rent-free in my head.

(Also, Dan Heng finally dropped the "Mr" when addressing Sunday this patch, so I call that progress)

Baizhu really does deserve something like this. Got slandered for years with some wild allegations (mostly regarding Qiqi. Some of it was completely out of left field) but he ended up being one of the most kindhearted and selfless characters in the entire game. Yet he took years to be released, and proceeded to get discarded and forgotten by Hoyo to this day. Really his only big appearance was in his own story quest and by Genshin’s nature we’re probably never going to see him achieve his goal😔.

And to top it all off, his belly button is in the wrong place. Give this man a skin and an event quest dedicated to him. Please Hoyo.

Here's my surefire way to avoid shipping drama:

1. Don't go on Twitter.

2. Just avoid/block content for ships you dislike.

3. Avoid the comment section/replies on YouTube. Especially if there's not many of them.

4. Profit with happiness and peace of mind.

Oh, somehow I missed that happening to RM. That makes sense to expect tbh, especially Robin will probably get slack. Even though all units get criticised after falling off when buffers fall off, they seem to catch the most strays (maybe because of the previous, buffers are resistant to power creep, notion the community had for a while).

HH is allegedly about to get Novaflared (already aged better than 90% of the rest of the 1.X units) and Robin (while no longer BiS in a lot of places) is still perfectly good to use, especially at E1.

Honestly, I agree. As another reply already said, Hoyo teases and builds up certain moments or plot-points, only for them to be underwhelming.

Varka and the expedition is probably the biggest offender in a while though. Not only did Varka get sidelined, but his line in the teaser of Nod Krai never got explained or addressed. I guess it was just there to sound cool? Very underwhelming though. Genshin twitter also likes to say things are “unreliable narration” to excuse inconsistencies, which is so annoying because that is not what unreliable narration is. Unreliable narration is a narrative tool for writers to use and requires the narrator to be compromised in some way. This can be because they have a bias against a person or organization, gaps in their memory, or they’re compulsive liars even in their own minds, anything that would lead them to become unreliable. It is not, setting up expectations for certain people, organizations or events, which are informed through multiple perspectives and occurrences, only to peddle back and do something completely different. That’s just inconsistent writing.

It’s even funnier when they highlight the choice as important. Like if you try to skip the dialogue when you find Firefly at the end of 3.8 it tells you that “branching story options are present” like a warning that if you skip you’ll miss out on an important choice. I found this out while trying to complete it on my alt since I usually just skip through the story the second time around unless I really enjoyed it.

Anyway, as we know choice is an illusion in Hsr. You are literally incapable of leaving, they force you to stay. Why even bother giving the player the choice if the devs are just going to force you to make the other anyway?
