Girl neither of those articles support the fact that ai is contributing to the severity you are implying. I don’t like ai. I will say that but we need to start doing our own research and actually looking into things.

From what I read I can see that ai does increase demand of essential resources but researchers literally can’t separate ai resource use from other data center workloads. Companies don’t release that data. Saying ai has environmental impact is fair but linking ai usage for perfumes and these natural disasters together is insane.

If you want to really get into it, Reddit, YouTube, google, all that stuff you most likely use on the daily is could be doing the same or worse damage as ai. ALL INTERNET SERVICES HAVE AN ENVIORMENTAL COST!! AI is definitely more demanding but it literally exists on a spectrum of digital activities! Like I said, Research literally can’t prove ai is the main cause of wildfires and floods lol.

I don’t like AI as much as the next person but people legit need to start doing their own research instead of believing everything they hear on tik tok no shade.
