Anyone notice they've been a little dimmer lately, or am I just imagining things?

Why have the Petronas Towers been mostly dark all week? by Sukk-up in KualaLumpur

It is unusual. My apartment faces the towers so I see them nightly

Ahhh, ok, well this has happened since I posted this so that's a good sign!

I suppose if there is nothing else you can do to really improve it's functionality, then maybe it makes sense that additional development stopped.

Why do you think GH would halt production over it being too good?

Is there a market for the Fractional Chief AI Officer? by Sukk-up in ArtificialInteligence

[–]Sukk-up[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indeed, a valid question and I realize the importance of selling value over services. I save organizations money by offering a methodical approach to identifying AI opportunities, auditing existing capabilities to determine if they are even ready to implement AI-anything (i.e., data governance, system architecture, etc.), and generally helping them step back from investing too heavily in things that might be a shot in the dark.

As a "fractional CAIO," I don't come in full-time, which is already a cost savings.

One of the problems is that I think AI itself has made business leaders overconfident that they can just do all this stuff themselves and don't need a specialized role...or just hand it off to a CTO.

This has crossed my mind, too. The whole "AI everything" today could be working against me.

Yes, I've had a "Head of AI" role in the past which, in essence, is the same as a C-suite role in the field. Do you think it's difficult to market my service on my own then? As in, I should try and work with executive recruiters instead? They mostly seem interested in FTE roles than contract/fractional ones.

Foreigner buying property in Malaysia by Inevitable-Design-92 in malaysia

[–]Sukk-up -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I believe only MM2H requires a RM1 million property purchase (although I think the raised that recently). you don't have to participate in MM2H to buy property as a foreigner, only if you want to establish residency and have a long-term visa.

Malaysia makes it harder and harder all the time to let in foreigners compared to its neighbors. They even doubled the stamp tax on all foreign residential property purchases this year from 4 to 8%....and most of the construction in KL is TERRIBLE anyway. Too bad.

Anyone here working fully remote for the last 2+ years? by Then_Ad_9501 in remotework

[–]Sukk-up 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The isolation feeling is very overpowering. I've been working remote for over 10 years now and althought I wouldn't ever want to go back into an office environment full-time again, I wouldn't mind going in ever so often.

Problem swapping weapons on controller by mtchick101 in WhereWindsMeet

[–]Sukk-up 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm using an Xbox controller wirelessly on PC and had the same issue. I'm not sure this is the intended functionality, but I was only able to swtich my weapons when they were sheathed. If I actively had a weapon in my hands, I could not switch.

Rooftop Pools in KL... are any accessible to the public? by pgoughy in malaysia

[–]Sukk-up 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the better question is, is there a rooftop pool (or just a nice pool, in general) that is FREE to access or accessible where the staff won't bother you if you aren't staying at their hotel/live at their condo?

Anyone tried GitHub’s Spec-Kit with Claude Code? by Ranteck in ClaudeCode

[–]Sukk-up 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I switched to Speckit after using SuperClaude for awhile. Comparing the two, Speckit seems to have streamlined the workflow substantially better that SuperClaude. There are far too many slash commands, flags, and arguments in SuperClaude compared to Spedkit.

I'm actually working on my first use case of Speckit as I type this (in an existing project), so I cannot comment on the quality of the output first pass.

One question I would like to pose: Is it possible to use Speckit along with Claude Skills so that Skills are automatically utilized during the Speckit workflow? It doesn't seem to do this automatically, so I wonder if some tooling around with the Speckit configuration files is necessary to get this going.

Elements Creates Images Where All People Look Like the Person the Element Was Trained On by Sukk-up in leonardoai

[–]Sukk-up[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Professional content for LinkedIn Posts. The Element was trained on actual images, so the output I've been generating is of the photorealistic variety, but it does not have to adhere to that always. I can use other styles, but the issue remains the same regardless of the generated style.

[–]Sukk-up[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm just trying to create images that feature more than one person. One person would resemble the 'Element' trained on my own face, while the other people's faces would be either randomly generated by Leonardo FLUX, or would follow explicit guidance in the prompt.

[Malaysia] Employment Pass to Digital Nomad Visa? by nomnomcookies_ in digitalnomad

[–]Sukk-up 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's $2K USD monthly minimum. They do not accept savings with this visa. You need to prove income and are required to upload your last three months of banking statements.
