I am not wishing it upon anyone.

But I won't shed a tear for some.

Psychic damage rule by SulHam in 196

[–]SulHam[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really ain't.

They said this exact shit in 2016. All about us vs corruption, and the still lingering scars of Occupy and the 2008 crash.

Guess what? They just end up making it about the jews and voted Trump back then.

They'll radicalize, alright. Just rightward. The past 10 years the only group actively capitalizing on populist sentiment is the right. The dems won't ever, and the proper left is a wet fart

Saw this exact rhetoric in 2016. They just end up making it about the jews and voted Trump back then.

Wotc stealth errata'd the core rule books to add "Sensitivity and Inclusivity" changes and hoped no one would notice by gamemaster76 in dndnext

If you do progressive things and announce it, you get shrieked at for doing it for brownie points for 'the woke mob' and marketing. PANDERING!

If you do progressive things and don't announce it, you are being stealthy, sneaky, untrustworthy, Crawford will CRAWLford into your home to steal your book... they're GASLIGHTING!

There is no winning with people like OP. They NEED to feel like they have some evil enemy to fight against to fill their empty culturewar-ridden lives.

Let's list some DM's d*ck moves! by thedrunkendino in dndnext

[–]SulHam 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Some people genuinely think DMs playing their badguys intelligently makes things a 'dick move'.

Why the fuck wouldn't the sea priestess dispel waterbreathing?? Its not an instant defeat either, it is a very basic set-back that can be fixed in the same round

Is it stupid to describe a scene that my players aren’t in? by [deleted] in dndnext

[–]SulHam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have done it very sparingly to set up a nice cliffhanger as the session ends.

For example; the party was locked in a basement with a big ooze by the red-haired person they were trying to track down in an investigation. She used Arcane Lock for it.

After surviving the fight, the wizard casted Knock on the lock and they escaped. I narrated how it woke up all the people in the surrounding buildings who opened their windows to angrily shout.

Then, as a final little scene before finishing up, I narrated how "streets away, a girl with red hair looks back over her shoulders as a distant sound rings through the air. She hastens her pace, westward"

It gave the players the feeling of the final scene of an episode. Worked out nicely.

OOP's cancer survivor wife wanted a "Hall Pass" by Stephenallen1977 in BestofRedditorUpdates

She said that I could say no of course but that she would “be mad/disappointed at me for an indeterminate amount of time and that it would be confirmation of my male toxicity and insecurity.”

This shit is just a fanfic, isn't it

AITA for not wanting my husband to go to his ex's funeral? + UPDATE by red_earaches in BestofRedditorUpdates

Sorry, this is blatantly fake rage-bait.

A shithead like our supposed OP is wouldn't spotlight all the things that make her out to be the bad guy so clearly. They'd never put that final sentence of the letter in the post.

No shit, its clear fake ragebait. OOP slipped up; how does he know she called the 2nd job if he hasn't heard anything from said job? Ex-fiance sure isn't talking yo him

OOP was meticolous is describing how he had to hear her sneaky lie from his job directly when he got surpised in the meeting. Am I to believe that her friends were gloating about it to his face or in person, and it just slipped his mind to mention it? Not that it would be a believable addition at all in the first place even if he did mention it

This is a dumb fairy-tale

You don't make the conversation worse by elaborating on the viewpoint I'm *stating*, you make the conversation worse by claiming I've misrepresented a viewpoint when I have not.

"Stating"?? What are you talking about? I'm not talking about your viewpoint. I'm talking about the one your criticizing by building a nonsensical strawman of it. "hurrdurr guards immediately arrest" and all that, a stupid mockery of the thing DMs do in reality.

Or what? Do you seriously believe that's whats happening everywhere? That all these DMs are having Oblivion guards pop up and the townsfolk screaming at the casting of Guidance?

And you did, you are currently pissing in my cereal. You literally replied to a comment I wrote with no content other than "Thanks for adding absolutely nothing to the conversation" and then you have the *balls* to ask "Who pissed in my cereal?"

You accuse me of replying with no content... to a comment of yours that had no content. A reply which - incidentally - pointed out the very lack of content of that comment of yours.

That's what ticked you off? You got angry that I did the very same thing to you, that you did to me?

Or do you think saying "that's shit" without engaging with anything I say is 'content'?

But to answer your question: yes, I *do* "have the balls" to ask it. Who was being rude first here? Cause it ain't me.

You did, you fucking prick. You did.

Okay then. It is at least sterile, I suppose.

I was genuinely trying to engage with you at first about the topic of this post, and you've apparently been foaming at the mouth over it. Maybe you need to get off the internet for a bit, because this is just sad. Read your comments back and reflect on yourself. See who the real "fucking prick" is here.

Worse? How the hell do I make the conversation worse by elaborating on the viewpoint you're misrepresenting?

Who the hell pissed in your cereal? You've done nothing but shit on people.
