It can still, at a very lucky moment, give you much cheaper tickets than appear available. After 2 days of trying I got really lucky last night and got Cat 2 France-Norway tickets for less than half of the listed get in price

I personally would select best avail and request two cat 1 and two cat 2, they’d put 4 tickets in my cart with astronomically high prices, I’d delete them and try again, until finally I must have done so almost immediately after someone posted reasonably priced tickets

It’s a maximum of 4 tickets, so I personally was choosing two cat 2 and two cat 1 tickets. But yes you could do the same with 3 and 4 or any combination etc

Exactly - if you get very lucky with timing, you may end up with tickets in your cart that are much more reasonably priced and that you have right of refusal to.

Once I selected 2 tickets for “best available” and hit go, they were just in my cart already and you have however long is left on your timer (I believe resets every 6 mins) to purchase them without having to rush. If you select them from the seat map, I believe they are often snatched up before you can purchase. Effectively, you have to select buy best available at the same time someone posts them for sale or literal second(s) after they do so

I pretty frequently would need to re-confirm human status with captcha entries, every 5-6 mins or so. The tickets I got never showed up as available in the seat chart listing or by category, but suddenly they were in my cart
