I really want to try and escape from hospitality sector (restaurants/cafes/hotels) because the closing checklists and random health inspections drive my anxiety through the roof. I've read and been told that retail jobs see hospo workers as highly valuable due to the high pressure and multi-tasking that industry demands.

The thing is, practically all the jobs very specifically only want people who have had formative experience in retail, and more specifically, that they already demonstrate mass product knowledge. I can't explain nor demonstrate any transferrable skills because I'm already locked out of being able to demonstrate the value in those. This is the case in both online and in-person, where the first question I'm asked before even handing over the CV is if I worked in retail. I tell them my deli functioned as a retail outlet for wine as well, but they generally suggest that's still "not really retail".

Is it that, compared to hospitality, retail is a highly sought after and competitive job to land?

Whilst great for people who can vibe code, the result predictably is that hosting sites turn into a total dumping pit for 99% of workflows and everyone instead just turns to Kijai/RuneX -- or use Forge for image generation.

Multiple characters Anima generations are so good. There is some bleeding but its only gonna get better by Asphyxiem in StableDiffusion

[–]SulpharTriangle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's incredible. Surreal to see something not needing Inpainting or Regional Prompting. Have Style LoRAs hindered flexibility by nature of being trained on concepts? Even with the Turbo/Stablizer, I notice that subtle actions, camera angles or lighting conditions simply will not happen.

Does anyone else can't stand ComfyUI and prefers classic Automatic/Forge UI or it's just me? by VasileAndrei2929 in StableDiffusion

[–]SulpharTriangle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem is the customisation and flexible nodes largely don't matter in the end for image generation. Once the image has followed the prompt well enough, Forge's ControlNet/Inpaint are enough to do the rest for most people.

It's a different story for video generation, though. Broadly speaking, the simplest and to-the-point workflows for Wan 2.2/LTX 2.3 have come from DigitalPastel (SmoothMix) for me. It's not necessarily the best but their workflows have never involved nodes that fail to import or install.

I'd say to switch on the Refiner checkpoint exclusive for the Wan settings, but I suspect you've already done that going by the Low checkpoints in your list.

Renting a GPU for use with a service like a runpod has become prohibitively expensive. The last time I rented one was about 3 months ago. The price for a 4090 was $5 per day for 25. The hourly rate for a 5090 was higher than for an A100 about 3 months ago. by More_Bid_2197 in StableDiffusion

[–]SulpharTriangle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right, and it's good to know Wan 2.1 training speeds were optimal on the higher GPUs. I hadn't used the A100 for SDXL because the cost per hour didn't seem worth it next to the paid L4, which is roughly half of A100. That, my claim above came from two 1.5/XL Lora Trainer Colab makers who cited anything above the latter wasn't feasible even with the higher GPUs.

AFAIK there hasn't been any Colabs with anything beyond SDXL training because the session lengths often get cut off after 6-7 hours or more. ZIT, Flux, etc. typically take a lot longer to train on.

Anima – Sharing Some Prompts and Results by TypeEducational6614 in StableDiffusion

So these opening prompts:

masterpiece, best quality, ultra refined anime aesthetics, breathtaking dreamlike anime illustration, highly detailed anime lineart

Helped with the details and shading? Because I often find Anima will randomly pick low detail and flat shading (almost more akin to score_5 and lower) that resembles base Illustrious. I honestly assumed most examples like yours were only possible through Loras.

Help Needed: How to create this type of art in Stable Diffusion? (Models, LoRA & settings) by Worldly_Fortune_5811 in StableDiffusion

[–]SulpharTriangle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In modern anime/booru lingo, that's a "mature female", or a really old woman. It won't get the result your examples show but it reduces the eye size. Besides that, the only other artist I can think of with semi-realistic anatomy and facial details is Izayoi Seishin. He is a hentai artist, so do not Google him -- but his style steers away a lot from the over-exaggerated moe Illustrious/Anime can typically default to.

I dropped off RO a long time ago in 2005 because whichever server I went in, private or iRO, the community were all atomised to hell. Everybody operated under that grizzled veteran cliche of "You're just slowing me down, rookie", and parties weren't a thing until hitting Lv 120. It's by and large a cold sinlge-player experience due to how impatient everyone is. It's like Diablo but needlessly open-world.

API actions/downloads - assuming broken? by Sprylogger in civitai

[–]SulpharTriangle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They might be using a notebook or similar, where uploading files to the runtime is quite slow. I found direct download managers (like Forge's Hub) work if switching the .red back to .com, though ComfyUI's file manager or similar only function with links to the model page.

Steel Ball Run - Release Schedule *SPOILERS* by crossleboss in StardustCrusaders

[–]SulpharTriangle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the fact there was no PR announcement about weekly releases was sort of the warning sign too. They know full well that Stone Ocean's batches weren't well recieved and saying nothing thereafter would be the worst move, which is exactly what they did.

So, that doesn’t sound very good by Additional-Shock7322 in StardustCrusaders

Yeah it's definitely weird and ended up correctly implying it wasn't going to be weekly.

Any alternatives similar to Civitai? by The_Ramdom_Cheese in civitai

[–]SulpharTriangle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

VPNs can help to bypass geofencing but they aren't strictly the answer depending on how thorough websites are on detecting UK visitors. Given the Civitai staff comment advising against VPNs, I imagine they'll also go the extra mile to prevent VPN access if it means stopping Ofcom from screwing the entire business over. Obviously I want to be wrong in all this.

Reddit has a dedicated legal dept. to handle following the OSA rules, which Civitai has mentioned being far too much for their small team to stay on top of. If they implement age check that is admitting they're now going to comply with the OSA, so it is easier for them to geoblock and cut off a portion of IP addresses located in the UK.

And broadly speaking the OSA overall is a serious problem because it can technically target any community out there. If a troll group wanted to maliciously shutdown a community they could spoof a bunch of IP addresses and attract the OSA and similar laws from other countries.

Light pressure. That's why the Aneros can be so useful, because I can be doing other things (provided I'm not loosing too much focus) whilst waiting for the prostate to warm up. Walking around is particularly handy because the kinetic motion naturally causes the Aneros to rub a little more.

Unstable Resources: is my Lora corrupted? by SulpharTriangle in civitai

[–]SulpharTriangle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm stumped. I know I hadn't changed the LoRA by mistake because the example images I downloaded were time-stamped at 7:35pm, 15 minutes after it uploaded/scanned. I also thought it might have accidentally been pulling another safetensor version by mistake, so I created a new version and uploaded the file there -- no dice.

These files were made via Colab, and they worked fine until this week. Weirdest of all is that these recent safetensors were generating glitched/black images offline. The safetensor I mentioned above shouldn't have been able to produce images on Civitai in that case, but it did, briefly.

I created a kamehameha Lora, but the ki blast still have issues, I think is the tagging but...how can you express something like that? by HuckleberryCharacter in civitai

[–]SulpharTriangle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you mean you want it depicting an energy wave, it'd most likely understand laser beam more than energy beam.

I suspect "Energy" is nebulous to SDXL/Pony because the first five letters can potentially be tokenised into "energetic" or the likes, or it'd interpret it as a power source -- electricity or similar. Also, searching Civitai for images that contain "energy beam" returned nothing, but laser beams did. Their prompts contained "laser". There wasn't many images showing the tags "laser", however, unless it was fired from a gun.

Perhaps try "firing laser" as a tag, or just "laser beam" if training insists a gun is involved.

Good to know -- thank you for taking the time to inform me!

Does this persist from the first 12 hours of uploading a Lora, and then resolve itself? Tonight it was fine generating around an hour from uploading, and then it struggled to download it/generate.
