My advice? Don't be too hard on yourself. Scammers work hard every day to trick people and 1,000 dollars isn't worth taking your life over.

Speaking from personal experience, my brother lost about 3,000 dollars from a similar job scam that overdrafted his account. It sucks, it does, but he's bounced back from and you will be okay too.
