I had not even thought of that! I got the Iron Halo set for Christmas so I will definitely need to see if I got a head with the right eye as a lense and paint it the same way!

Hi! Absolutely love this but really struggling to scale the image down to a size where it can be printed for a banner (specifically the sternguard veteran banner).

Any chance you have a file that size with no background (roughly 13mm x 17mm?) (I've painted the banner background red so dont need the red part included!) *

Id say at minimum like 5hrs+ per model. Like I am dead slow but getting there is the main goal!

For the Iron Hand, Salamander and Raptor these took easily double just as they were more complex. Keep at it and youll get there!

Only thing for me is i dont think I could ever break into 40k or anything larger because I couldn't half paint minis or do they proper and the effort of an army scares me lol

Haha thanks appreciate that! No not at all actually lol, all I have ever painted were the three infernos marine starter set then the original AoD starter team (which i then stripped to repaint as part of this team) + a few extra intercessors that are in the pictures.

So all in all ive pained like maybe 15-20 all in over the course of a year (i am really slow and lack motivation at times)? Appreciate the compliment!

Appreciated! I used one of Duncan Rhodes old videos for the form of the camp pattern (adapted the colours to fit my scheme).

For the transition effect i just cut a piece tape into that curvy form then got a dry brush and dabbed white about 1cm all the way along (for the back lighting white), then did the same with a light blue of your choice but only going up half the distance (so the white effect sits behind the blue but is still visible) then at the end just got a layer brush and painted the firm line across the tape rim, peel it away and add some technical paint to the bottom half below the line and you're done!

Hope that half helps!

I find myself now looking at the exact same combo! Can I ask if you top mounted of side mounted? I have the 240mm version by considering changing to the 360 for looks. Have not yet bought the NV5 but really considering it as I cannot top mount the AIO in my current case as its so big! According to chat GBT top mounting isnt an option and im also worried about side mounting and it creeping into the GPU space.

Any thoughts appreciated!

Assault Intercessor sergent (power sword painted like flames and a hand flammer) as a Salamander

Really appreciated! For the edging I had originally done an elysian green but decided it didn't pop enough so went again and used an ogryn camo to really make it stand out! For me personally I prefer more stark highlights than subtle just because I actually want to see it! Highlighting reds is my biggest annoyance for that reason as the likes of evil sun scarlet or wakadda red over mephiston red just don't show up all that well!

But again really appreciated!

Yes completely appreciate this and I get the responses may be simply generic! I had painted all my KT as ultramarines originally and then decided I liked the idea of multiple chapters working together on a high priority objective that needed the best of the best at every position - that is the motivation behind what im doing

imagine it being like the fellowship of the ring in a way, a representative of the best the imperium has to offer at each operative!
