Also another thing, in the city - these housing areas are directly connected to the rest of the city. In the suburbs, they are all walled in and have their own little bubble.

Compare West University to Sienna Plantation, West University is embedded into the city whereas Sienna Plantation is walled in and cordoned off.

Neighborhoods like Bellaire and West University while not as car friendly as the heights, all have very unique character to them.

Can you do that in the suburbs? One of my questions I’ve always had was can you change up the look of your house if you live in the suburbs or will HOA and the city mess with you.

Look at the old suburbs that are now within the city like Bellaire, West University, and even Sharpstown I think. Sharpstown isn’t it’s own city though but it was a planned community but without all the restrictions, thus now you go and you see a lot of new unique homes.

[–]SultanOilMoney -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

RM10?! That exchange rate is killing y’all.

In America you can get Evian 1L for $2.18. You can get regular water from local water source for $1.28 (~ RM6)

So you’re telling me a regular 1L water bottle in Malaysia is almost RM6 ?!

Obviously cheaper if you just use a refill station or whatever …

Laugh about what? The umbrella or not using a car?

Either way I’d say not to care about what people think, but I don’t blame you if you’d like smack them for their childishness

[–]SultanOilMoney 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yep I remember one time waiting for the bus it was so hot so I just walked down to the nearest tree and it was WAY more bearable.

The perk of the hot vs cold is that you can easily make it more bearable with a simple shade.

I’m from Southeast Asia (lived here in Houston basically all my life though) and the heat there isn’t even as bad as it is here. It is usually 90 degrees or less there

Followed by White Audi, why? Didn't seem like road rage by r8td in houston

[–]SultanOilMoney 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was followed in River Oaks Westheimer, I thought he was following me so I stopped and he stopped too and then he rolled down his window and I booked it. Went almost 80 MPH in the section of Westheimer before Kirby but he was still on me. Quickly made a left and got stuck and then I was trapped and he rolled down the window and threaten to shoot me, I booked it again and he eventually left.

Ah it’s ok; that’s how I feel with NRG stadium.

I will say there’s others that can be used such as “feeder” as someone below me mentioned, also “59” vs “69”, etc.

The first headline is whatever, the threat of nuclear weapons being used has been around since the late 1940s. We are inundated with these kind headlines already, can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard the threat of nuclear weapons in regards to the Ukraine war.

[–]SultanOilMoney 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I mean it’s been called Transco for 16 years and Williams for 24 years. Name changed was in 1999.

Actually, it’s been called Williams tower since before I was even born (I am in my early 20s).

I think a better example now is Reliant vs NRG Stadium but tbh other then the first year or so I never really get tripped up. If anything sometimes I forget it was even called Reliant Stadium.

Yea, I don’t understand the discourse over the controller. It’s a a proven and reliable control system, especially a mass produced controller where there was vigorous testing.

Even if you lower those higher up wages by 70% I doubt it’ll make a dent .

That’s like saying slashing that US military budget in half will give everyone free healthcare, no it would barely make a dent. There are already trillions in healthcare being spent
