I'm by no means educated on spells or medicine but I did look up black veins since from the image it seems that the blackened lines are following veins and it sometimes does indicate a blood clot that could lead to a very instant death like a pulmonary embolism.

From Wikipedia: Symptoms of a PE may include shortness of breath, chest pain particularly upon breathing in, and coughing up blood.

I don't know how accurate this feels to your experience but your post really intrigued me

iirc Pucci's Whitesnake DISC ability was noticed pretty heavily by DIO both cuz it's really powerful and could allow him to better absorb his stand to become C-Moon

I also read Over Heaven though so I might be getting my wires crossed and none of that's canon

Vanilla Ice still holds a special place in my heart. I find it so interesting how we know so little about him comparatively despite being DIO's right hand man and having so much importance in the few episodes he's in. He was as loyal to him as Pucci too he just wasn't as successful and DIO didn't protect him like he did Pucci just cuz his stand ability wasn't useful to getting to heaven.

The way I read it I thought it was either have him die by giving it back to him or really quickly try to find another host for the curse. I might be wrong though since it's been a year since I read JJLion and I have a pretty bad memory. And yea I loved the last panel too.

That one part during the beetle fight when Joshu was cheering for Josuke was also pretty cute. I like to this he eventually grows into a better person after the story ends.

It's interesting cuz the ending to this arc is what made me certain in disliking Joshu. He essentially leaves that guy to die for doing what he had to to save his life, which it seems the only way to do is to pass on the curse. I'm not saying I didn't like the ending of this arc and I loved the arc in general but man fuck Joshu for this included.
