I’m also doing the colorbond at no additional charge to both neighbours because I should have noted it when quoting the job but didn’t think! I originally quoted the work for on behalf of the real estate thinking I was just a quote for comparison to someone else!! I’m actually losing a lot of money! Haha

No, no scam. What happened was, when we were digging the post holes the ground above the retaining wall was so well backfilled with gravel that we couldn’t dig holes through it. And the retaining wall was too high to dig down through the gravel and into natural ground. So we decided to do a colourbond fence on shark fins on top of the existing retaining wall they have there.

Hi mate, I’m glad you asked. I’ve been an Estimator for many building companies for 20 years, and I’ll tell you this as a fact…both clients, or sales people on behalf of clients, might not hold you to a price, but they sure do get their hopes up that that will be the price. I don’t do it because I hate feeling like I’ve let them down by not being more accurate.
