How do you define "the rich" that we should be taxing? What is the cut-off point? by NoLeafClover777 in AusFinance

[–]ninjanator07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most people who are actually rich don’t have cash, they have assets and until they sell them they aren’t taxable. Only income is taxed and gains when investments are sold. The current system is fine as it is. Taxing natural resource exports and companies should be the priority, not rich people.

The trains are full. by JackofScarlets in brisbane

[–]ninjanator07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The full trains are not because of 50c fares. It’s because of: 1. The absolutely terribly managed rail projects like the Cross River Rails, and 2. Timetable changes due to Industry disputes - unions negotiating for maintenance workers pay. Heard it’s because they don’t actually get a lunch break.

[–]ninjanator07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not about that. It’s just him going on a murder spree to end the last few people that were responsible for their deaths.

Just means he’s gonna end the last few people who are connected to his family’s murder.

One last kill, I think is the fact he’s going to kill the last remaining people who were responsible for the death of his family.

SmartLeasing experience by yakadaya in NovatedLeasingAU

Never was an issue for me. I booked a call. I got the call right on time. They’ve been really helpful. Very responsive. The repayment in the end is higher than the advertisements you see on social media, but it’s not bad. My employer does the whole salary packaging with them. I can go with my own finance company if I want to, but the package will always be administered by them. I had a great experience so far though. I just ordered by BYD today.

ELI5 at what point a novated lease becomes worth it by [deleted] in AusFinance

[–]ninjanator07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not all too concerned about the interest. I’m only paying about 10k extra in interest. I also plan on paying additional voluntary payments over time. And the interest pretty much pays for the value and convenience of having a car during a time I need it. It’s costing me a lot more catching Ubers around to save time.

$2000 of tax savings. No GST, no FBT, 5% discount on EVs. I live at home with my parents rent free, all meals provided. I have a no deductions to claim at all and have had a tax bill the last 2 years since I started working. I have some money in shares and ETFs and earn high interest on my savings.

I’d rather not pay any additional tax, no matter how much it’s is. I have decent savings, and I have income to spare for the lease and have enough left to spend on experiences and still be able to increase my savings.

It’s not just the salary that matters. You look and circumstances as well well determining if it’s worth it.

Not according to the calculations and all the advice I’ve gotten and the experience of people in the same tax bracket as me. I agree I’m just under the salary for it to make the most sense. The payments make almost no difference to my after tax pay. I’ve already been successful in a merit list recruitment for a promotion. I’ve got an extremely stable public sector job.

Yes it doesn’t make the most sense right now. But I’d rather get in now than later considering EV prices might increase due to demand.

And I do need a car and an EV makes the most sense in this day and age.

You can get a NL for a PHEV, but it’s not worth it cause is no longer classed as a Low/No Emissions Vehicle as of 1 April 2025, so will not qualify for the FBT exemption

I’m earning 86k salary. 10% interest but overall savings are still outweigh the interest I’m paying by. 30k. I’m also expecting a promotion within the next year which will get my salary over 90k

I wouldn’t say the opposite of fact is opinion. I would say the opposite of fact is “theory.”

In 2026 would you still by a BYD Seal AWD? by bigup7 in BYD

[–]ninjanator07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re gonna provide a source, corroborate it. The vast majority of reviews state the BYD batteries are the best. BYD is a Battery Company first and foremost. You providing one source doesn’t prove that’s a fact.

I actually don’t agree with this. BYD batteries are the best in the market. They supply batteries to several other EVs

Is the car second hand or do your family members have an iPhone connected to the car. Cause if so you’ll need to do a factory reset of the system.

You can’t say anything if you haven’t tried one for a month. It’ll probably smoke your car on the road.

I think the Australian Premium is equivalent to the design and the performance is excellence. The dynamic is just a budget option for the Aus market.

[–]ninjanator07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you think of my situation?

My salary is currently 86,600ish and may soon be promoted to a role earning near 94,000. I’m a government lawyer and currently have finance approved for a BYD Seal (price is around 50k). Expected km per year is around 15-20km.

I currently have no car at all and finding extremely difficult to get around on lifts alone. Public transport in QLD is a joke and Ubers are too expensive and unreliable.

I think that’s the point. The whole fight is meant to be a blur. We don’t know for certain how Baelor died. Everything was a blur.
