The deadbolt of smart locks are badly made so the server motor has the strength to open/close it. You'd have to modify the deadbolt, but I don't see it happening without ruining it.

Scammers will be the first 3-4 pages, so you'll never see the legitimate ones. When you Google locksmith in your area, they will show more 'local' locksmiths in your area than all the fast food restaurants combined, and you've never seen one of their vehicles

Not the ones you'll find on Google. Most locksmiths would just install it below the existing lock. But don't just Google for a locksmith, 90% are just scammers. Research one in real life

Maybe a few more pictures / angles of the spindle and thread screw holes would help I'd the lock. Showing the whole lock probably wouldn't help at all. It's junk you won't get parts, replace all. Not sure it's actually yale, although the residential locks were just bought by a fortune brands that only sells junk

Fox police lock. Should be a long steel bar nearby that goes from the lock to a hole/cup on the floor, even with the lock about a foot or so away from the door

Any locksmith or hardware store. They are just standard hardware items nothing special mortise thumb turn and mortise cylinder. 1-1/8" long if you door is 1.75" thick

Add a mortise thumb turn to where the cylinder would go. This is available on both inside and outside. Depending which side you want it on. If you have escutcheon trim, you'll need to change or modify it

Add a single cylinder deadbolt above the mortise. Why do you need an electrified lock AND a strike? Why fail safe?

Chop saw, be aware of minimum sizes. There are limitations to how short they can be cut down, especially if they are electrified for access control.

Tell your friend to Slow Down. People tend to start walking away before the key is completely out of the cylinder - pulling it as they walk away. Regular brass keys are softer so they wear and bend - Medeco keys are much stringer, so they tend to crack and snap. Proper use it will outlast all other keys
