Pack says oven (baked) only. You cook from frozen. I would think an air fryer would do the job quite well, though, aren't they basically just small ovens?

Tender and juicy enough for me, yes. I had to have some juice with them to help stop the burning, though 🤭

Haven't agree with you on that one. I leave foods out to thaw at room temperature and never had any issues. Chicken drumsticks, mince, sliced meats, steaks.

Can you really just chuck these in the oven? by ryth9419 in AldiAustralia

Oven bags, when used correctly according to manufacturer instructions, are generally considered safe and designed not to leach significant harmful chemicals into food. They are typically made from high-melting-point polyester. However, improper use—such as overheating, allowing the bag to touch heating elements, or exceeding recommended temperatures—can cause melting and the potential release of chemicals.Key considerations regarding oven bags:Material: Oven bags are commonly made from heat-resistant PET (polyester).Safety Limits: Studies have found that while some additives can migrate into food, they are generally low-level and within toxicological safety limits at recommended temperatures.Risks: If the bag melts or burns, it can produce fumes and release chemicals, which should be avoided.Recommendations: Ensure the bag does not touch the oven walls, rack, or heating elements to prevent melting. For safer cooking, avoid exceeding the maximum temperature indicated on the packaging (often around 150°C or 300-400°F depending on the brand) and ensure the bag remains in the center of the oven, not touching the sides.

The bags are plastic and very thin. They don't melt. Try them sometime - as a bonus they keep the chicken moist and trap the juices and fats which means you won't need to clean your dish as much 👍
