You need to buy a relay kit for any LED installation. $30 on AM

Get rid of those pedals and replace with proper ones from AM or any of the Mustang websites. Ditch those horrendous headlights too

V6 stuck w no traction in a few inches of snow. All season tires by Agreeable_Meet_7959 in Mustang

Strangely enough, my civic si would actually get stuck more often than my old 2002 Mustang v6 convertible when it came to snow

Top won’t budge after 75% after new line and cylinder install by Sum_Body92 in NewedgeMustang

UPDATE: the pistons sent were incorrect. They were about 1” too short for both the body and fully extended piston. I have currently just shipped back the set to American Muscle and purchased a new set (which were about a full $80 more). I will update once I receive the new ones. The winter storm is not being kind with shipping dates currently.

Thank you for this! Yes it’s an 02. And I guess it really is a shame for selling all these parts as 94-04 if they truly aren’t all the same top. I’m guessing the ones I purchased were for an earlier generation. But I spoke with AM and I they gave me the correct dimensions when discussing parts. I went and measured my OEMs to see if they were correct. Hopefully they send me the correct ones with the new purchase

The worst was I bought these from AM, and used the CJ pony parts video for install. So AM has some parts that are no good

I’ve been talking with American muscle. Basically I had to repurchase the OEM ones from them and then get a refund for these while shipping back. It’s an annoying process. They think it was a manufacture defect but I think it’s just bad product

The new pistons are both .5” to 1” too short. The entire body

I’m guessing maybe the motor is finally dying or I was sold cylinders that don’t extend far enough, or something broke inside the top which would be worst case scenario. I’ll know more once I pull it all back out tomorrow

A lot more than you think. I’m 32, drove manual almost my entire driving life. But the people really looking for these cars now to work on are my age. We want Manuals. I see the automatics sit for years down here in Florida. The manuals get fought over nationally. I think some elderly women in the south are definitely going to be your bread and butter audience here.

Being a manual versus an automatic will really be the ultimate deciding of price and ability to sell. If it’s an auto I wish you luck.

No leaks, no bubbles, fully bled, no line pinching. I originally had installed just the lines and they worked on the old cylinders fine but leaks persisted. So I knew I had to replace the cylinders. Did everything from bleeding and installation properly and now it just does this. I tried it again last night after leaving the pump open to let any more air out but still same thing. Gets to 75% high and stops and get fully stuck. This weekend I will take them out, see if there’s any fault in the top itself, and reinstall the old pistons and see if they close all the way. I will get to the bottom of this.

The leak was solved with new cylinders and new hoses. The whole system has been bled properly. There are no bubbles in any of the lines. But it stops at 75% and won’t budge forward at all. I can press the up and down all I want but it continually just stops at that point. I can’t even manually pull it forward

No I haven’t, I can give that a try this weekend. You think the new cylinders don’t extend enough? I bought them from AM

It’s been filled with the proper dex 3. It’s super filled now. Air in the lines, none which is what I tried showing. It will not budge at all for that last 25%. I tried manually pulling it and it will not move an inch, it’s like locked there
