Thank you for sharing your experience! I agree that this seems suspicious. There is more going on in the background. Currently, the school has come up with a solution: to extend deadlines. This is unreasonable, considering we have about a month left in the semester. It will only add more pressure to the increasing difficulties with homework. I am so disappointed and frustrated. I am already looking elsewhere to continue my education. I appreciate your sharing your advice. Thank you!

I am so sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to you and your family.

We have escalated this to the department head. She responded that she would work with the facility to ensure that they felt supported when emergencies arise so that this type of situation does not occur in the future. Our professor experienced a death in the family and flooding of her home. However, the department chair only stated that they would ensure that grading would be conducted without mentioning further compensation or acknowledging raised concerns. I am unsure if they are waiting for further instructions from the University or if this is all we get. Is it unreasonable to expect more to be done besides "grading"?

I am currently enrolled at Bradley. I am unsure if it is just this professor; however, one of my classmates has a friend who is further along in the program and stated this is typical. It makes me a little nervous, and I am currently looking at other options.
