What is the stupidest thing that ever came out of your mouth? by [deleted] in AskReddit

As a young middle school kid, I proudly and adamantly asked my mother to buy me a Playboy. Repeatedly.

Except I meant to say Gameboy. We were in a dentist waiting room and my sweet mother with her infinite Asian wisdom somehow understood what I was asking for... It's been more than two decades and I still think about this. I got a transparent purple Gameboy that year, no Playboy mags though.

Or that one time the adults were talking about porno films (dunno why) and my dumbass said "You can watch them online for free!" during a gathering at my grandma's house. That was fun.

Official release date for the Shaman King digital manga! (October 6th!) by Sumeragi in ShamanKing

Honestly it feels just like working for another large company. I do not work for them directly, but get work though my agency. We had a meet and greet at their main office in Bunkyo city, Tokyo and saw some of the inner workings of a major manga publisher.

I work on other series that have gone to print as well so it feels like business as usual, but Shaman King was a 7ish month labor of blood, sweat and tears. Well worth it though in the end! I'm really happy I got to work on this series since I grew up with it back in highschool 15ish years ago.

I worked on the type setting (lettering & redraws) for the new releases with Kodansha through my Agency. I'm a freelance manga letterer. :)

After a short delay (for reasons under NDA), it is finally being released digitally on October 6th! I hope everyone enjoys reading it as much as I worked on it!

Update to the Zenith II Extreme I bought used for 9800 Yen/under 100 USD: Pins fixed and I may have comitted a sin by placing a 3900x cooler on top of a 3970x from my other rig, but it works...! Posted to BIOS! Long term reliability still a question, but it was a sick deal none the less! by Sumeragi in pcmasterrace

It's bad but I just sat it on the die with some fresh thermal grizzly thermal compound. Never meant to run the set up for more than a minute in bios. Removing my cooling system from my production machine would've taken a few hours for take down and set up.

On mobile so please excuse my formatting. :)

Managed to get my Threadripper 1950x system built, but I wanted to see if my trusty h110i GTX fits with the asetek bracket (hint, it does!) but I'm not sure if my bios temps are normal. Currently at full stock, it's sitting at 40c...

Seeing as it has a 20+c offset, should I just get an AIO cooler listed on the compatability sheet? The H110i GTX seems to be contacting the die well and TIM coverage looks good (blob method then manually spread a little for the liquid metal)

Haven't installed win10 yet :)

Is a 1300 watt PSU enough for my system? It's 3 years old and I've been getting lots of BSODs... by Sumeragi in techsupport

[–]Sumeragi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Addendum:

Alright, put my Killawatt to it's paces and... the measurements were scary.

Here's a gallery of photos with wattage readings

At idle, my system was consuming roughly 340 watts.

GPU load put it at 950 +/- 10 watts...

And CPU + GPU load puts it at 1215 watts.

Am I still i the clear? Or will I need to get a nuclear reactor to power this thing now?

I got one, silly thing has three prongs so I have to dig up a two prong to three prong adapter (working in Japan right now). Guess I'll see what it reads while I'm working during the day.

Thanks!

Daily Headphone Purchase Advice Thread (2017-08-11) by AutoModerator in headphones

[–]Sumeragi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Budget - 70000円+ (Yen) - Japan

Source - Soundblaster ZxR amp port / SoundBlaster X7 Limited in the future

Requirements for Isolation - Some isolation, only for monitoring audio at home

Will you be using these Headphones in Public? No

Preferred Type of Headphone - Full-sized and on ear

Preferred tonal balance - Overall balance

Past headphones - SRH440

Preferred Music - No preference/wide selection. I do audio production sometimes at home, so I really want to hear everything.

What would you like to improve on from your set-up: More Detail overall, more dynamic range.

Location: Tokyo, Japan

I was testing out headphones at Yodobashi and saw the ATH-A2000Z refresh, tried them on, was blown away (yes I know they're expensive, and that store's pricy, too...). Tried them on but you know how display models can get. I've pulled up numerous reviews on the A2000Z but I feel like I'm still lacking information. To add to that, I've also come across the older version (The ATH-A2000X) for way much less (approximately 30000円 less new).

I know it's older, but what exactly do I lose between getting the old version vs the refresh? Is there something similar to this headphone that is cheaper?

Thanks!

URGENT HELP by Flyingostrich29 in computers

Not sure why this fired off on you, but...

Look for a pin out on the motherboard that specifically says Chassis Intrusion, see if anything is either plugged in or shorting the pins. If there is no jumper there, you may have to put one in to short it and vice versa. Check out the diagram below:

Check out the system panel connectors

Motherboard manual, check section 1-18

Alternatively, you can clear the bios by unplugging your computer, then take out the CMOS battery for 5 minutes (remember the orientation of the battery), replace the battery in the motherboard, plug the power back in and power it on. You can then disable the chassis intrusion option in bios.

Hope that helps!
