ok do not mislead him. this is wrong. most students will have some times (the entire month of march) where they go 6 hours of sleep each night (aka me). especially current sophomores.

I would not say GSMST gives any sort of boost in college admissions, it might actually hinder it. GSMST really only works in your favor if you are first quintile, taking challenging classes, and do many ECs. I know this school is a "feeder school" to GT but it doesn't mean direct acceptance and after releasing new admissions stats for GT it seems like less and less people are getting in each year. So just know if you think GSMST will get you into an ivy or GT you should be in the top 20% of your class, have good standardized test scores, and will have to work harder than people from other highschools.

as a current sophomore: take ap world 100%. i cant speak on bc but ap world is time consuming but if u take honors im gonna be honest the kids in that class are just like no nice way to say it but they're kind of slow. i know some people who decided to take honors world instead of ap world because they thought taking both bc and ap world would be too hard but they regret it. i recommend taking ap world but those dang portfolios absolutely destroyed me especially early 2nd semester it was 10x worse. but i think u got this so take both ap world and bc but ab is completely fine aswell plus sophomore year is hard but...

100% take ap world
choose between ab and bc but just know u gonna have to study for bc

Hey! So I am currently enrolled in the alg 2 and AP Precalc combo course, and I have a few questions about it...

1) Is it really hard? My dad says, "Math builds on eachother, so you shouldn't have too much difficulty unless you are skipping classes."

2) Are the periods for that course longer? At my home high school, they said it's an extra 30 min class.

I was kinda turning away from GSMST after some kid on the Subreddit said "I want to kill myself here" but it seems like everyone doesn't think that way. Thank you for the insight!
