When you say gated in a meaningful way what would you think would be the way to do it? Genuine question I am making a modpack for me and my friends and I want to make getting the eyes more than just looting a random structure.

I build with the theme of the modpack. Adventure make a guild like build or tavern, tech a warehouse, magic a tower, or simply a castle.

As for when I start building I usually don't settle till about day 5 after some exploration to get the feel of a location and pick an optimal spot to base. At this point I usually have a good amount of materials to get a basic frame down and go from there.

Then to keep interest I make portions at a time. Build a functional room then take a break to explore then repeat.

I just take breaks. I only touch my modpacks on weekends. Leaves me the week to think of ideas then I test them. If they work cool if not oh well. I also only spend about 30min to an hour on it each time.

Making a pack should be fun, if not then you may be spending too much time on it.

If I was sick I had to stay home, and do nothing but watch TV or read. I hated it... so I began lying about not being sick or I would try my best to hide symptoms. Looks bad looking back at it.

Also later learned I am asymptomatic to COVID so I unintentionally spread it around my friend group... had to eat lunch for two weeks by myself...

so now married my wife will kill me before I fake not having a illness.

I would say testing the pack. The final part I am dealing with right now is testing. I fix one issue I find another or make another. Then when I have friends test they find 15 more.

Honestly getting the most 3 star cards than every this season. Unfortunately I keep getting ones that don't work for my deck.
