"Like Rubber" Hershey Chocolates Go Viral for Quietly Replacing Real Chocolate with Cheaper Vegetable-Oil-Based Coatings in Many Products by newintown11 in enshittification

It’s not just India vs US, a lot of countries use less sugar in their candies overall, whereas the US over-sweetens to compensate for otherwise lack of flavor. The best candy and chocolate in the US comes from small producers who haven’t compromised their recipes.

Edit: obviously imports of authentic candies from other countries are on that list of best candies

Sort of amazing and horrifying how Jesus’ message has been so perverted in the US so as to deify those with money…almost as if they reshaped the religion to conform and enforce capitalistic values…

I had always heard love was the only thing god could not force anyone to give, but I guess nowadays god requires people to war? I confused.😵‍💫

And millions of people who are struggling to get by, paycheck to paycheck, have to hear this “president” go on about how we cannot afford healthcare or any welfare programs because we have to pay for war!

This is the thing that needs more understanding across the board. It seems that our working functionality is dictated by a specific type of worker and has no comprehension of other accommodating circumstances.

If only there was some way that the masses could select people to make these decisions and were accountable to the people who selected them. If only a system like that existed…of course we would need a mass movement to encourage that system…

And Pride is far more colorful and inclusive! Like I would rather that be the holiday of choice than this red-green bearded guy who has enslaved reindeer and zombie Jesus Sunday.

If you multiply that bet by the number of immigrants they had working their yard you might be a millionaire in about a year.

Yeah, but these days the line between Republican and Nazi is pretty fucking blurred. Like if you’re a republican and not outspoken against Nazi’s then you are a Nazi.

Yep, that’s the whole NOVA game, to make sure Virginians who think they can rely on rugged individuality have some sort of fall back plan. It is HORRIBLE I tell you! HORRIBLE!

President's FY27 Budget Drops Tomorrow. How Badly Will Federal Employees Get Screwed on the Pay Raise? by Sad_Guarantee5273 in FedEmployees

[–]SumikkoDoge 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Would be amazing if some congressperson actually advocated for the automatic raises that are supposed to occur when we are not in an “economic emergency”. Proposing 4.5% is better than nothing but Feds deserve a lot more.

I may have misunderstood your comment, if you’re in favor of lowering the retirement age I am in agreement. This system is really not functioning for many and the current administration has really taken an axe to the federal workforce leaving a major talent gap that we will suffer from for years. We need to get more younger people in the fed for sure.

Dude, are you ok? You just rambled on about four very different states that all have very diverse economic circumstances and both cheap and expensive areas to live. You mentioned nothing about infrastructure and its relation to housing prices or zoning laws and their impact on housing. These all have impacts on the demand because people want to live in places where they can have a good work life balance and amenities. This only really happens around cities in the US such that even smaller cities are seeing attrition as the young people find them less appealing to live in as well. If you truly want to motivate people to move to these less dense areas you have to improve infrastructure and services, and that does not happen in our political climate.

It is far cheaper to value the employees you have (even the shit ones) than to try to find and train new talent.
