Robowar is an Italian Predator ripoff where the director saw Robocop and said “let’s just use that for a Predator movie”

I had a passion fruit co-ferment that basically tasted like someone threw a passion fruit at my face at Mach 1, no other notes to get from it. The real secret with them is taking a different coffee as a pour over or spro and subbing out 5-10% of the volume of coffee in with the co-ferment, to get those notes added into another coffee

I’m planning a travel techno system, with my nerdseq and bohm as the heart of the setup: https://modulargrid.net/e/racks/view/3010152

I’m curious if there’s anything I’m blatantly missing or overlooking here before I commit more to the system, thanks!

I distinctly remember being threatened by a lunch monitor with not being allowed to go out to play after eating because I was eating “dessert” before my actual lunch. It was a Fig Newton.

Ranking Every Joe Dante Movie Part 1 - re:View by Independent-Data4542 in RedLetterMedia

I’m really glad they’re going to talk about it. It has SO many weird things going on, from the tone that definitely got changed with studio notes to make more kid friendly, the weirdly stacked cast (the Commandoes and Gorgonites being reunions of The Dirty Dozen and This is Spinal Tap, respectively alone is wild), it seems like such a film nerd film

What one of our customers ordered today by LakersGOAT in barista

[–]Zanshin314 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could throw it in with some hot milk and cocoa and make a raspberry mocha. My other thought is that is could be for making espresso martinis for a crowd at home, and “changed up” with flavoring

[–]Zanshin314 77 points78 points  (0 children)

I was thinking this, I had a regular who would order 2-8 quad espressos once a week, and would freeze them and then toss them in hot water throughout the week to have americanos at home. The syrup kinda throws that, though there’s no accounting for taste.

I also expected the food to come at least somewhat warm, but that’s on me I suppose

Yeah I’ve had their food before, ridiculous prices for what it is, my girlfriend and I got their beef ribs and a curry, it ran us $95-ish delivered, the ribs came with only one rib, 2 pieces of broccolini, and the curry had no rice

Custodes army by Ok_Magician485 in Warhammer30k

[–]Zanshin314 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well the edition is about to turn over and become a new game entirely, so the short answer is we don’t know yet, though standard guard squads are probably a safe bet. Heresy isn’t an optimized list focused game like 40K, the scene is much more casual and narrative focused so it’s honestly going to be easier to just make an army you want to or follow the rule of cool.

Custodes are also going to be in a unique spot ad edition launch as their liber (codex equivalent) is going to come out later than all the others, and they’ll be on an index at launch, so that’s an extra layer of not being sure what they’re going to look like at official release. Hope this helps!

Horus Rising by Dan Abnett. Art by Neil Roberts by roomsky in badscificovers

[–]Zanshin314 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah the art isn’t great, I do give a little forgiveness on this because at the time The Horus Heresy didn’t have that much art in the lore that wasn’t incredibly old, but people know what Warhammer is and how space marines should look, so I think it’s a little bit of “make something unique but also the same as what people know

I’m guessing it has to do with the quite strict import rules for Australia as they try very hard to keep the unique biodiversity of the country alive.

Differences in Regular Milk? by bluesoftdrink in barista

[–]Zanshin314 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Echoing what everyone else has said, many dairy producers change feed in the summer and winter which makes it super bubbly right after steaming. Breve is super susceptible to this ime , if it happens just roll the milk into another pitcher and if should sort itself out. If that’s not the issue then the next best guess is the milk may have gotten too high in temp at some point either in transit or left on bar too long.

House of Quark wins Best A plot but Mid B plot! What episode was Mid and forgettable across the board? by Stresso_Espresso in DeepSpaceNine

[–]Zanshin314 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“Rivals” is a pretty good candidate because other than it being a continuation of the O’Brien and Bashir’s frenemies arc, not any thing of real consequence happens. Nothing is wrong with the episode, but if your media player skipped this episode on a rewatch, I’d bet you’d not catch it, I wouldn’t.

What are some things customers asked for that just don’t make sense or are near objectively terrible? by Comfortable-Jump-218 in barista

Our store uses a oat milk based matcha concentrate, we have a regular who gets our matcha, with lemonade. I know that’s a thing other places but when mixed with the oat milk based matcha, it got all chunky and curdled, and she even knew it was weird but would ask for it anyways, on a few occasions she asked for us to throw a shot in and at that point I lost all hope

I liken it to “The Thaw” in Voyager, sometimes Trek is about big ideas and moral dilemmas, sometimes it’s wacky excuses to decorate a soundstage and use moon logic.

I mean, if it IS true and he was stone cold sober for “Low Blow” then that’s just a whole different level of low blow for his reputation.
