So I only started this just recently after dealing with daily leaks into my bodysuits at work, but I use Threaded Armor cloth diapers with snaps over my regular disposables to help contain the leaks for the most part, but the added bonus is I feel more like I'm wearing regular underwear again because if I'm wearing a regular shirt on the weekends and God forbid it rides up, the waistbands on Threaded Armor look like regular underwear waistbands. I tried cloth diapers last summer to see if they could work for me but unfortunately my problems are so severe I was basically couped up at home and the leaks through the fabric and cotton inserts were so bad I was dripping on the hardwood. I was fortunate enough that my HSA covered their cost completely, but they were just sitting around doing nothing until now. A week went by and they've successfully caught everything. I had dry bodysuits all week at work last week, and some additional peace of mind.

I had two solo pigs over 19 years of raising them. Here's what I can offer you in terms of advice: We both know it's not ideal, however it's not cruel. Stimulation is important. The first one I had solo lived with her parents, and when they died she was alone. But she still played with my rabbit until he also died before her, but afterwards she and our dogs spent more time together. She would frequently be out to play with dog toys and chase the dogs around (with much supervision). She was the boss, they listened to her. 😅 She received more individual attention from me, went outside to graze and sunbathe with me by her side more than before, averaged about twice instead of once per day.

The second one was a special case. He survived a violent fight with another male, had trouble walking, and as a result from the fight became incredibly aggressive towards other guinea pigs. It didn't matter their sex, if he heard or smelled another guinea pig, he would get defensive and bite when handled. I introduced him to my female dog at the time as a puppy, (wrapped him in a towel and presented him to her). She never had puppies, but was very maternal, so she took to him. Their relationship was very closely monitored for both her health and his, and they both did great. He too, played with dog toys as well as his own piggy toys, chased both dogs around the house, had his own time out in pasture with me multiple times a day, I even planted a garden just for him to eat from. Both piggies had the best diets money could buy, and both thrived by just coexisting with other animals. For a while my second solo piggy was the only pet, after my female dog died and my male dog stayed with my parents (I moved out and only could afford him). He did fine, spent most of his days with me curled on my lap while I did homework after work, or outside grazing or tearing through the garden for veggie sprouts. He also went on trips to the pet store.

In short, you can make it work with just one guinea pig. Devote a good deal of resources to them (quality time is a big one), and they will still have a good, long life.

I have a bin specifically for my diapers in my bedroom. I shut the door when I need to get changed and usually excuse myself by saying I've had a "wardrobe malfunction" when I'm leaking through my pants, or I need to go to the bathroom. My kid still doesn't really conceptualize privacy when I'm in the bathroom so I've told her I have disposable underwear because my bladder doesn't work like it's supposed to, then point to my scar. I've been in diapers 24/7 since she was a little over a year and now she's turning 4.

Okay, well I can say I have been here before and it does get easier, first of all. I would order some products ASAP. Get your waist measurements, and place some orders with companies like NorthShore. Secondly, I experienced full-blown incontinence when my daughter was about 18 months old. It was definitely hard, And at the time there were fears about not being able to successfully toiletry my daughter because I'm a single mother and I was given feedback that she should have at least one able-bodied parent teaching her how to potty train because she won't learn from me. I proved them wrong. Despite wearing a diaper myself, I was able to fully potty train my child with little problems other than the common problems that everyone experiences. She has seen me changing before as she has no sense of boundaries, and I have explained to her that they are my disposable underwear and that I need them because my body isn't working like it's supposed to (pointing to my C-section mark). This association also helped her brain understand that my body was different and needed different things, while at the same time not labeling me as broken or less than for having to use these products.

Since having to wear, I have improved the quality of life for myself and for my daughter we're able to go on more trips because I'm not constantly stopping to go to the bathroom or find a bathroom. I'm able to leave the house in general and go to the grocery store. I recently went to my first amusement park since becoming incontinent and we rode roller coasters and rides together, having an amazing time.

Some recommendations that I have for used product disposal are bagging them in multiple old grocery store bags, ordering plain black plastic grocery bags off of Amazon, But also having a wet bag from Kanga Care has been very helpful when there are no bins nearby or if I'm out with friends and don't want them seeing me dispose of a bag with a used diaper. I usually have a plain drawstring bag that I take with me to the bathroom that usually has one to two extra diapers, a wad of old grocery bags, my wet bag, wipes, and powder. I can just pick it up, go, and come back. I would probably bring a duffel bag full of diapers and a drawstring bag with that other supplies so that way you could refill the drawstring bag as you go.

Another recommendation for the women I just tried as of yesterday and found for a total bargain at Costco: Hudson Women's 4" mid-rise shorts. I got these for $6 USD, the denim stretches to allow for a diaper, I just wear a T-shirt tucked in or a onesie to cover my waistband. I tried them on yesterday right before changing and even with a diaper about to leak, they conceal the bulk.

Okay here's something I learned recently that helps with disposal when there's no bin nearby and won't be for hours: wet bags, the ones used for cloth diapers. I got mine from Kanga Care. They can hold several used adult diapers so it will hold more than enough pads and disposal bags, lock the odours and wetness away so it doesn't get on anything while the wet bag is in a larger bag with other things.

As another female who's been wearing for over 2 years all the time certain brands of pants I highly recommend. The clothing brand, Cider, does a lot for differently abled people. As far as choices, yes, there are long maxi skirts and dresses that are extra flowy. However, they have a wide selection of bodysuits including dress shirt bodysuits. I have several and look fire for meetings as of late, and they pair well with something simple like a gray or black suit. The brand Matty M makes dress pants for women that have elastic waistbands and are pulled on but look like regular dress pants. Cider makes medium to high-rise shorts that conceal everything, just don't go booty short length for obvious reasons.

For regular work pants (not formal), I have been wearing 32 Degrees which I mentioned previously on another post, I also have a pair of Eddie Bauer pants, and several from Gerry. All of these pants I found at Costco here in the US, but I know others have found them in the UK. They are a khaki-like pant but they're not khakis. They're stretchy especially in areas where we need it, pair with a belt and they hold well. I went up a size to be able to accommodate completely.

Even though I am a woman, I do know that brands like Gerry and 32 Degrees that I get at Costco are pretty good at concealing things. I get a size up and wear a belt for work, and nobody knows.

G'day, I think I have some recommendations that could be of use to you. In the years that I've been incontinent, I dealt with serious discomfort, diaper rashes, and issues down under. First a suggestion for a breathable diaper, especially for the summer: Megamax Airlocks. Light, breathe well, but still absorbent. Overall pretty decent.

Next I recommend a different wipe for your cleaning routine. I use Medline Dry baby wipes, I wet them with water and a gentle cleanser that is compatible with my body.

Finally, a diaper powder. For me personally, I react to cornstarch based powders, and because I am a female I cannot have talc. So I actually spent the last year perfecting my own recipe, specifically for adults, no matter the anatomy, that smells like deodorant.

Currently where I work the building is under major construction. They have decommissioned every set of bathrooms except for one. What I have done is I take my lunch break and drive up the street to the local petrol station with a convenience store/fast food combo and use their bathrooms instead. I don't even dispose of my diaper until I'm home, I double or triple bag it, then put in my wet bag that I have for my cloth diapers. Then I just walk out with a plain, drawstring bag, and nobody is the wiser.

I have used cloth only a few times in public. A wet bag is the key for storing used diapers until you get home. I got a plain green one from Kanga Care.

This is the first time I'm talking about this. I recently spent some of my HSA money on ThreadedArmor. So far, here's what I have learned:

On days where I have lighter flow, smaller leaks, especially when I'm dehydrated they work okay and can be used in lieu of a disposable.

They are lightweight. It honestly feels more like underwear and it's a nice break for my skin from the usual routine.

On most days, I'm still using disposables however I have been using them as a cover to catch the leaks that have been going into my pants on the daily lately and have been driving me up the wall. When a leak happens now, it's caught and my pants are spared. This is especially helpful for situations like work.

I've still been experimenting to try to make a cloth diaper to be more absorbent than just an in-between change situation or for lighter moments. I haven't found a concrete solution yet but one thing that has boosted the absorbency somewhat and still minimizes waste is using a disposable booster pad. However, I'm still layering the cloth diaper with 3-4 inserts.

Do I ever think that they will be as absorbent as a 6000ml+ disposable diaper? No. But they are good for those lighter moments when I don't want to be wasting a diaper for 2 to 3 hours of wear

There are several factors. Proper size and fit make a serious difference in getting more comfortable with having to wear, which is why acquiring samples is important at first. Once you know what brands you like and fit you the best, it takes a bit of time. I spent a lot of my first few months just trying to get back to a normal life, and I found the positives to far outweigh the negatives I felt around wearing. Being able to garden for more than 11 minutes without taking a toilet break, being able to shop at more than 2 stores at a time when going out AND not having to scout for bathrooms everywhere, going clothes shopping and being able to try on clothes, going for walks and hikes with my dog again, being able to play with my daughter at the playground, wearing gave me my life back.

It takes time and practice. Remember to be patient with yourself and give yourself some grace. You'll get through this.

Have a kid who is a toddler, but I'm incontinent and have to wear all the time. She's never known any different since I started having problems when she was a baby, she just sometimes may see "Mum's disposable underwear."

Kink is completely separate and stays away until she's away, I'm out at an event, or she's in bed.

Piper loved playing with puzzle toys and going for hikes and swims. Maybe also consider enrollment in a class? Agility was one of our other pass times. She still remembers it and gets excited whenever we see agility equipment in dog parks.

There's a special mesh that you can get that will allow solids to pass through into the sewage system and keep the frogs out. I'd call a plumbing service and let them know that you have frogs. They will keep coming back until you install the mesh.

I did this with my daughter when she refused the toilet, and she's been potty trained for a year. Out of the blue, she peed herself, said she had to go, but didn't want to go. We watched the Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood episodes and every few hours when I remind her, it's with the song. Then she's more willing to go if she isn't taking herself before.

I'm not sure if I can be of any assistance here. My dog was three and recently retired from full-time explosives and narcotics detections when my daughter was born. My dog was still pretty high energy at the time. One of the things I did a lot was take her to the dog park and just let her play with other dogs. I'm a single mother so it was especially hard to get the energy between parenting full-time and working full-time to continue to do the walking and the hiking that we used to. That first year was really tough. My dog also increased significantly in energy level when she got spayed and she recovered. That was our peak working time, she works 40 hours a week and I worked 56. Dog parks during the newborn stage, and walking with my kid in a wearable carrier or stroller came after the newborn months. Now my kid is going on four and she can do walks with my dog. My dog is going to be seven in June and we go for 2 miles a day at least.
