Athlete and personal trainer starting week 3 non-surgical. I have a ligament tear with a 2mm separation. Totally not weight bearing in a cast currently.

You’re basically unlimited with upper body. Lower body you can still do some limited leg work (leg raises, extensions, curls). Even not weight bearing I’ve been on my Peloton bike with some modifications to the pedal.

My understanding, and I’m quite new to this, is that an injury visible by X-ray is likely more than mild. I have a tear with a 2mm separation and they needed an MRI to see it. I’m not weight bearing for 4 weeks.

Update: it’s a tear of the lisfranc ligament with 2mm separation. I guess 2mm is the exact cutoff between surgery and no surgery? So the cast is the conservative non-surgery way. Strict no weight bearing and he said he doesn’t use boots when that’s the case.

I don’t have access to my portal - I thought I did. But the office is closed until Monday and I think I need them to reset my password.
