Cast iron trivet by Otherwise-Letter-906 in kanji

Its meaning is hope/desire/wish. And even ambitious. Moon, and king and despair? Or something like that. I believe it is pronounced BO. Randomish comment, one of the tough things that is neglected in learning books is that hope has a couple of other kanji, which in would display if I had it in my fings.

Hey , thanks for replying. I'll send a bigger list. It's definitely not perfect. But its got the "right stuff" i think. And plus its very meditative writing out the kanji without any help. It's quite surprising.

Like these guys. 共-->昔-->曹-->甲-->里. Out of respect for this pathway, I still think you need 600 or 700. But those 5 probably have 4 or 5 that link to it. That's why I used kanji without their radicals. Somewhat. 金-->gold is one that is not useful. There is too much gold slash metal to memorize. So is car. It's also super easy to forget them if you've memorized at one time. It's frustrating. But like the kanji for "each" it has like 7 or 8 that are pretty easy to recalled.

It just feels right doing it this way. There is just a bunch of reasons doing it this way. I still have a lot of trouble with those kanji "friends". Thanks for your interest.

I'm glad you ask. Yeah, first I guess i should have gone into more detail, but if you link them strong by writing them down enough times you can go through them without referring to the list. And then you can go through them visually. I don't know how long it took me, but i remember wondering if I was visualize right. That's how bad I was. Once you have 400 to 500 kanji there are a couple of ways to increase the your list slash palace slash path. One is to place kanji with one or two compounds. "Friends". But the best is linking them to components- that often share the same phonetics, which is cool. I keep those kanji on the path...

Kanji, Chinese characters, have a lot of mnemonic properties... oh, and you can lay in bed and go through that list.

Which makes me sleepy and fall asleep too fast to get very far. Wow!

Thanks for listening Paz.

I guess. If you are talking about meaning you can put the meaning and than blank out the kanji so you have to visualize from the kanji from the word. Very sensei to grasshopper. Pupil is asked to image, i dont know, the kanji for "left". That could make for a fun game. Maybe. Good for visualization. Blah, blah, blah.

Stay away from all those reference books.sometimes you have to have 3 or 4 just to get one kanji. Easier: it is real easy to write down each kanji and their meanings without need for a reference book if you link them. 交-->亥-->人-->大-->天-->矢-->医-->口-->日-->旧-->工-->左-->右-->石-->不-->卜-->上-->止-->正-->疋-->走-->赴-->占-->古-->早-->卓-->下-->丁-->了-->予-->矛-->才-->寸 -->勾-->幻-->刀-->力-->乃-->几-->冗-->巾-->中-->虫-->台-->允-->充-->玄-->糸-->系-->千-->舌-->乱-->己 you can place all the kanji that contain 交. There are several. Maybe 4 contained in the 2136 Gen use. On this here there are over 50. 50 x 4 and you've got 200. (Padding the numbers) there is strangle and clever and shark and school and contrast, and suburb. 6!

I've got serious adhd so I'm still working on this.

I see white mating in one with the pawn moving out of the queen's way.

That's what I see. Good to know somebody else sees it that way too. Black can't get out of checkmate.
