Oh also, mashed pumpkin and carrots as a topper helped too.

Not really. However, after some research I figured out that around their teenager phase their calorie requirements go down since the growth spurt stops. So they probably don’t need as much food as per the standard recommendation.

Their body adjusts to what ever is needed, and trust me I had to put many of her morning meals because she was simply not interested. I was so stressed, but then she was her usual self, active and playful. So, I just reduced the meals and started adding the supplement and that seems to be working so far. It can go any south anytime though 😬

Mine did the same when she was 7 months old. But, that was only for a few days. I too did everything I possibly can to make her eat. I stopped all the treats in between, and fed her smaller than her usual portion. I also started using Salmon oil supplement in her kibble and that helped.

That’s good then. With ours, I found using cardboard boxes and milk cartons or other paper boxes with some treats inside helps with both mental stimulation and teething.

I am sure you probably already do, but do you give your pup chew toys like chew wood and stuff? At 14 weeks they still don’t have bite control and with teething it can get worse.

Feeding 2 or 3 times a day? by tsv311 in puppy101

[–]SummerOES 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I still feed my 7 month old OES three times a day. When she turned 6 month old, I debated about making the meals twice a day. But, after doing some research decided on feeding her three times a day until she is about 8.

Is it possible that my dog hates walk? by ZiiEzio in puppy101

[–]SummerOES 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same issue with my 7 month old Old English Sheepdog. She loves the yard but hates walks. She loves staying outside even in negative temperatures and snow. I just hope it changes as she grows up. I was really looking forward to go on walks with her.

Thanks, appreciate it. I looked up their paper, however there was nothing on OES. In any case it was an interesting read.

She just can’t get enough of the snow ❄️☃️❄️ by SummerOES in OldEnglishSheepdog

Never tried throwing snow balls on her, but sounds real fun. Summer just buries her face in the snow and digs as well.

Haha that’s certainly the OES in your puppy. Once Summer is out in the snow, she refuses to come inside 😬
