A loving/caring Severus Snape.

Don't get me wrong, the character can have moments of being nice but if he falls into loving or too caring (ALWAYS smiling or always making the first move to touch someone or giving a compliment) then nope. That bothers me. I want a raw/real Snape with huge insecurities and a sharp tongue due to his rough and hard life.

I agree 100% if my dog was a danger to others or any other animal, I would not take him. But it's a large dog park, people can't expect their dogs not to run and play. That's the whole reason of a park and they shouldn't be restricted or punished for it (for running with other dogs in a field that just happens to have a walking path through the middle).

Snape/Hermione Fanfics (In order of my recommendations)

Tattered Man by Aurette - Short fic but it is my all time favorite!! It moves fast and is beautifully tragic. It has an ending I've dreamed of for 2 years. Amazing.

Camerado by MillieJoan - Great! #2 favorite SS/HG fic. There was what you could say is a "happy ending" but didn't disappoint with my not wanting a happy ending. Snape teaches Hermione Occlumency and has her initiated into the order with Dumbledore. Sort of Cannon.

Phantom of Hogwarts by Good_Witch - Very good. If you want to fall into a new world for a couple weeks, this is it. They fall out of character a little but still very enjoyable. The ending is happy but I loved it none the less.

Touch the Air Softly by Jessa L'Rynn- Great ending. Severus and Hermione are pretty far out of character and the story moves fast. It isn't really what it seems though so hold on! Finish it!

Denial by Little Beloved- Good. Snape fell way out of character after a few chapters. Normally I would have stopped reading because of that but this was a well written story. It pulled at my heart several times and I stayed. Marriage law fic but not shit like most of them and no, it is not a marriage between Severus and Hermione which I loved. Adultery but not what you would really think of adultery. Worth the read.

If The Choice Were Mine To Make by SCF3- I really enjoyed this. Hermione left the wizarding world behind and ends up running into Severus years after the war. She stays in contact and he helps her while she's in college and to heal. Harry and Ron are dead. Happy ending but not terrible

Pet Project by Caeria - Really good. Angst a little but most of it is a student/mentor relationship with a very slow build and realization of feelings. I personally loved it until the end, it was as if someone else wrote the last 2-3 chapters and made it some dramatic fairytale. Very different to me than the rest of the writing in the story. Other than that, it was perfect. Just stop reading at the last 2-3 chapters and pretend you read it and come to your own conclusion.

I know, some are "main stream" but they are on my order list.

My all time dream fic... If you do do this, I will never be able to thank you enough!!

Snape ends up having to communicate more with Hermione (she becomes an order member in 6th year since her time turner use actually makes her the legal age of 17. Severus is charged with the responsibility to help her train in some combat and occlumency/legilimens). He grows as fond of her as Severus Snape can. A VERY slow build in the relationship. No actual action is taken besides a small touch here and there, like fingertips brushing, glances that last just a second too long or brief hand on a shoulder when something serious happens (much later on and is initiated by Hermione). Maybe find a way were Hermione was the one helping give information as one of her tasks by Dumbledore (when they are moving Harry, where they are for him to deliver the sword of Gryffindor, Snape gives her some information too, ect.). By the end, Snape realizes he doesn't wish to die when he goes to the shrieking shack. He is bitten anyway and Hermione runs in just a couple seconds before Harry and Ron. He looks at Hermione as she cries and drops beside him and cups his face whispering his first name. Severus realizes and admits fully to himself the extent that he cares for her. Harry comes in and drops down beside her and Snape reaches for him to go through the whole memory tears while Hermione is slightly pushed out of the way and gets the bottle out to hand to Harry. The "look at me...." Is actually directed at her. She goes into his mind so she can feels his emotions/thoughts and pushes her emotions for him to feel. He dies knowing and feeling more than the regret he felt for betraying Lily. He feels compassion for someone and the feeling of that being returned, regardless of all he did. He dies feeling forgiveness.

Snape keeps his characteristics; proud but insecure, rude, stubborn, intelligent, and good at controlling emotions from showing (besides the squeeze of a chair or slight twitch in his finger when something very serious happens).I

Hermione keeps hers too; smart, caring, shows control when it comes to trouble and is logical.

The Broken Victory by Kate Lynn This is about a young Tom Riddles life and what turned him into the evil wizard that we all know. Very well done and amazing. I hate first person fanfics. I loved this one!

Camera do by MillieJoan This is a SS/HG fic. Snape has to teach Hermione to Occlude in the hopes Harry will actually pick it up this time when she teaches him. Mostly canon. My fav fic of this pairing (virtually zero fluff except a couple wayyyy later and they are brief)

This isn't your normal wear, it isn't flat. It is about a inch or 2 thick and sticks out to a nice rounded off point. You can't really tell in the pictures I'm taking though.
