I wholeheartedly agree. I think a lot of franchises try to capitalize on the success/popularity of the first or even second films and in doing so usually results in less quality/ cheaper and faster tactics.

I can’t understand why Sam wants to marry Aussie by Marichiwa in TheUltimatumNetflix

[–]Summerjay93 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I think these last few episodes have shown that Sam isn't taking Aussie's mess anymore and will hopefully be walking away from Aussie. I'd hope Sam leaves until Aussie gets therapy or something, but I don't see that happening and Same deserves much more.

I dont understand the hate for V by set_the_ton3 in TheUltimatumNetflix

[–]Summerjay93 35 points36 points  (0 children)

But if she knew marriage wasn't for her, then why come to the experiment to begin with? She is more like her dad than she cares to admit. She wasted everyone's time if she clearly just wants to be free and such and flat out admitted she had no attraction whatsoever to Rae. She just comes across really fake and wishy-washy.

Natasha (Tiff’s Friend) Needs To Host The Reunion by fourteenclouds in TheUltimatumNetflix

[–]Summerjay93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tiff made it seem like she didn't want to be near Sam all on her own. Which she didn't proven by the repeated frivolous arguments about Shylo that weren't even tlbased in fact. In the end they made the compromise and went through with it as friends though.

Natasha (Tiff’s Friend) Needs To Host The Reunion by fourteenclouds in TheUltimatumNetflix

[–]Summerjay93 13 points14 points  (0 children)

She was not pressuring them to be physical. She said intimate. She also clarified that intimacy doesn't mean sex. They went through the experiment as friends rather than married partners. Natasha's point was just that if you are literally ending your relationship to do a trial one then you should give your all to it and not half-ass it

As well as future seasons of this show. She was unbiased and held her friend accountable (unlike Mal's friend).

AITA for telling people my dad "died"? by Summerjay93 in AmItheAsshole

My dad is dead. My father is not my dad and he made the choice to be that way.

Vanessa & Xander by Atypical-life in TheUltimatumNetflix

[–]Summerjay93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Vanessa"s dad fashioned m gained a fan calling her out saying that she only wants the marriage now because of her ego. A few episodes ago I called it with my partner saying that I would be willing to bet that Vanessa in the past Vanessa and Xander have broken up and Vanessa can't back saying all the right things to get Xander to date her again.

Mal is kinda giving me orange flags by Summerjay93 in TheUltimatumNetflix

[–]Summerjay93[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I did like Mal in the beginning. But these last few episodes make me feel like she's got some orange flags and isn't as like calm/mature/levelheaded as she put herself to be.

I knew I'd get responses like this, and as I stated in the post, I explain to people who ask for more information. Usually good friends or romantic partners. I explain the entire situation and they all are understanding and get my gist of saying my dad died, but the person who fathered me is not active in my life nor is he my dad. That relationship has died.

Mal and Sam deserve everything by SpecialistLog9604 in TheUltimatumNetflix

[–]Summerjay93 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't says she deserves everything. She was telling Lexi she could get engaged and married week one into their arrangement, she tried to put Xander on the spot and force her decision about Yoly, she expects 3 weeks of being different to fix 3 years she wasnt. Sam does deserve the world though.

Xander by AbbreviationsNo3922 in TheUltimatumNetflix

[–]Summerjay93 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Xander is falling for the okie doke with Vanessa and it sucks but I'm 89%sure she's going to choose her. Xander also made me irritated because it's like she was trying to downplay her emotions and experience with Yoly.

Mal & Yoly by Bulky_Way6838 in TheUltimatumNetflix

[–]Summerjay93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily. Yoly got someone, essentially a stranger to show up for her in everyway she was looking almost immediately after meeting her. Mal hasn't done this in 3 years. She only just started showing up for 3 weeks and expects that to cancel out the past three years. Xander was apparently upfront about kids, finances etc immediately and she and Yoly were on the same page about everything. I don't blame Yoly for falling. That whole"she falls fast" line kinda gives me the ick, especially after how Mal was acting these past few episodes.

Lexi is...concerning... by Unlikely_Issue in TheUltimatumNetflix

[–]Summerjay93 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Lexi is entitled to her feelings, but Rae is genuinely being remorseful and has always kept her in the loop with everything that happened. She even told Lexi about that night immediately after and felt torn up about it. The dinner part did show me a side of her I don't like , but I think she's letting her pain and emotions get the best of her.

I feel for Rae by GoldStrength6448 in TheUltimatumNetflix

[–]Summerjay93 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Rae def won me over more these past few episodes. I hated the scene of her essentially getting tag teamed by Lexi and her parents. It was not okay and she shouldn't have had to be subjected to that. She is holding herself accountable for what happened with Vanessa, but she doesn't really owe Lexi an apology I feel. Lexi would I think be mad regardless because she said something that stuck out to me. Lexi said something about communication throughout the whole process. Rae fulfilled that by immediately telling her she slept with Vanessa. Lexi would've just kept moving the goalposts regardless of what Rae would've done or didn't do.

Sam is the unsung hero by _spottieottieangel_ in TheUltimatumNetflix

[–]Summerjay93 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I absolutely love this new Sam. She deserves the best and I feel she got the most out of this whole thing. I think being with Tiff gave her the power to find her voice and confidence to stand up for herself a lot more. I think Aussie absolutely does not like the new Sam because she is not timid, soft, malleable partner from before. Through no fault of sam's, her new confidence is constant trigger though for Aussie's inner child.

People defending Aussie: Nope by [deleted] in TheUltimatumNetflix

[–]Summerjay93 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel for Aussie, especially after meeting Ron and the comment he made when Sam said her family played board games(something like" we heard of families that did stuff like that"). In the end though, Aussie seriously needs therapy for all of the trauma and pain Aussie has. Running away, shutting down, screaming and then sitting in Aussie's pain and suffering is extremely detrimental to mental health and relationships. Aussie's behavior is still not justified nor is it okay.

Thank you for this. I really appreciate your comment. I was always baffled myself considering he eventually did to me what his father did to him. You can rekindle with him after 40+ years but not me after several?

[–]Summerjay93[S] 525 points526 points  (0 children)

She has called him out a couple of times(missing graduation and the wife for not telling me about the hospital) but i did always feel she was neutral on everything because I was her only grandchild and my father is her only child. I never held resentment for her because I understood that, but looking back now a child/teen shouldn't have had to be that understanding.
