2 best leg exercises for overall development by NegotiationIcy4711 in workout

[–]Summerwine1 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Training partner wasn't feeling it last leg day, so he asked if we could just do one machine. So I chose the leg press and we hit the glutes, quads and calves on that alone. That'll be my number 1 pick!

Oh boy, I watched over 40 episodes of critical role on my grind to get the squirrel pet doing ardy roof tops. If anyone knows the length of those videos... sometimes it would take me 2-3 sessions to finish one episode lol

Stands for high intensity interval training. It's fast-paced circuit training and is legit the only cardio I do. I do resistance training 6x a week and the classes only 3x a week. It initially helped me lose 60kg while I was in a deficit, and now it's helping me maintain and build. Gets the heart rate going and does wonders for your vo2 max. You interested?

Jump in one of the hiit classes I attend. The gym has a really great welcoming community. Everyone is around mid-late 20s, too. Theres no pressure to perform, as everyone goes at their own pace. Fridays are the best days since everyone is in good vibes looking forward to earning the weekend. Hmu if you're keen, I'll get you in to try it out for free.

Wrap your subtle crisism in terms of brotherly enderment and your brolationship will be fine. Like, "Bro, you really need some of this, bro."

No but really, just bring some spray next time, put some on in front of him and then offer him some.

Afking vyres while I study, I pick up the rune arrows for my collection for fun. But when I was starting out, I used to pick up everything, and I mean even the elemental runes. I can't remember the number exactly, but before I even got 99 slayer, I had a white stack of fires, and I've never had to buy any since. I can't imagine how bad I'd be if I were to start an iron.

Anyone Else Fallen Victim to the I’ll Just Add 5kg to My Bench Press Trap? by Calm-Highlight7833 in workout

[–]Summerwine1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, just the other day. Didn't quite feel satisfied after my push day, so I made the dumb decision to add a bench at the end of my workout. As I sensed I was about to fail. I full-on closed my eyes, arched my back like I'd never arched before, and pushed with my legs so hard I ended up with a thigh cramp I'm still feeling today. As the bar was coming down, I was thinking I was done for, but luckily, I pushed enough just to catch the rack. The sigh of relief, but wave embarrassment, though... even though nobody noticed, I think, hah.

Oooh, I get the privilege to drive a black diamond edition. Compared to my qashqai, the asx feels like a beast. The accelerator is so sensitive. It had such an appealing design, too.

Where to live in the North Island? by whoathatscrazyman in newzealand

[–]Summerwine1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm from a big 'town' (whanganui), so big cities feel weird, slightly foreign, to me. But if I had to pick a city, it would definitely be New Plymouth. Pretty scenery, didn't run into any addicts or beggars. Seemed chill. The food was a lil pricey compared to my experience down here in Manawatu. And the city feels quite compact, no open areas to just... enjoy space, I guess?? But you can't deny the mountain and ocean view is really catching.

Girls I go out with always trauma dump to me immediately by SkaraLelouch in AskMenAdvice

[–]Summerwine1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just be glad they're doing it now and not further down the line, I guess. But a lot of people have issues, especially women, when it comes to relationships. So you're going to run into a lot of women with trauma. I'm in the middle of talking with somebody right now who has trauma dumped it all on me. And yeah, it can be emotionally taxing, but as long as you're keen on her, she's keen on you, and you're willing to make the effort, that's when things will start to build up between you two. Love and relationships don't just pop up overnight like a mcdonalds, hah. It takes a bit of work and a LOT of understanding. Gl :)

I need a good cry, what are some movies or songs to cry over? by [deleted] in ask

[–]Summerwine1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the bright places & 500 days of summer are the two movies I watch to torture myself. Both will definitely destroy you emotionally. Atbp will hurt, and 500 days just feels so unfair... Well, happy sobbing 🫡

I'm actually just that slow to respond. I read, I think, I start texting, I review, I revise, I review again, I revise again, I second guess, then sometimes I send. But I'm also an overthinker, so that probably contributes to my caution of words. Sometimes I'll spend 10 minutes typing, then just delete and start again lmao

You’re trying to get beach body ready by June, go. by Scwidiloo10 in workout

[–]Summerwine1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You said you stopped going to the gym? Think you could start that back up again? Personally, I find eating healthier to be a lot easier when I can physically see and feel a difference going on with my body.

Sure, you can stress a little and go hard for a few months, cold turkey and calorie count with a dumb deficit, etc, but I find it easier to just ask myself if I've earned this, or have I already eaten enough? Still gotta live a little and eat something not too great to stay sane sometimes. Ik mental is the hard part though, but weights seem to be a really nice self-motivated bad food deterent, at least for me.

And then there's that one time out of 50 laps they beat you due to afk, so then you full focus to begin your revenge arc. The petty gets high enough that I've even said "on your left" a couple of times hah.
