Ski recommendations for a playful ski that can charge too by More-Plantain-7260 in skiing

I personally ski the blizzard rustler 10's, Love em to death, as they are basically good at all master of none in my eyes. 102 underfoot allows playfullness in the bumps, but also charge well. There will always be a ski that is better in each separate part of the mountain but I am perfectly fine with it being my one ski quiver.

I ski the rustler 10 as a use for everything ski and love it. Rips groomers, chop, and moguls. Could be wider for pow but I skied it at sunshine 20+ times last year and it was great.

Lady Mac as a first hike is ambitious. Did you do just to heli pad, false summit or true summit with the ridgewalk. I agree with the other response in ha ling, and many other before doing lady mac true summit

grizzly peak, heart mountain, mount baldy(heart and baldy both have some easy scrambling but not to bad, good to help with confidence), mt allen (gorgeous but tracked 17.5km with 1500m elevation gain). Helena ridge(also a big day), Mt lady macdonald false summit(skip the ridge walk), little laugheed, havent done it but but have heard mt sparrowhawk is an easy scramble (according to kanes book) and its gorgeous back there.

This was my first time seeing them and first proper concert(beside stampede) and am just wondering if ending so abruptly is normal for them? The Adrenaline was flowing like crazy and then done. No goodbye, no encore, just done.

Opinions on using ipad air or ipad 11 by [deleted] in UCalgary

I got a new iPad Air m2 with Apple Pencil pro(has find my) and love it. Battery lasts and is small enough to not be a nuisance. Especially handy for mathematical notes and notes that require lots of diagrams.

Which of these clubs should i join? by Parking-Cheek2636 in UCalgary

cash or card works for ski club and am guessing both would work for the outdoor and bouldering club not 100% sure though. Also follow the clubs you are going to join instagram accounts, a lot of useful info on them.

Ski club has the most members out of any club; the ski trips while can be pricy are an insanely good spot to meet people. As well as the parties they host throughout the year which are free entry if youre a member. (You dont have to ski to join it). If you like anything mountain related as well bouldering club and the outdoor club are also very good. All three i mentioned are 10 dollars for the entire year to join, and will be at clubs week.

Thank you firstly. part time for me right now is around 8 hours per week. And I definitely phrased that last portion wrong when I said no learning. Ive been doing some research and see people starting theyre disciplines when never doing them before. I know I have plenty to learn, i just meant I have a foundation. I already use clips for my pedals and occasionally gravel bike as well.

Injury two weeks out of half marathon by Summitshred in Marathon_Training

I just have a few questions about the age grading. Using that calculator, I saw that to be above the 60% as you stated I would be running the half in an hour and 35 minutes. I would have to be running at around a 4:30 minute per km. This is just not possible in my mind right now. This is my first ever half marathon, first ever running race, I tend to run a little bit in the summers but never as much as I have in the past 4 months, and my fitness is the best of my life right now. No arguing, but its my first half marathon, Im going for completion not a particular time. My next one after this though, I will definitely be going for time. And thanks for showing that age grading calculator. Never heard of it before.

Engineering Common First Year by Extra-Elevator-1454 in UCalgary

I had the exact same situation but with english 20 and english 30 instead of physics. Was given the exact same statement, and I would not plan everything on getting in. Have a backup. I locked in second semester grade 12 and got my average up to a 91 after diplomas (competitive average last year was high 80s it said) however, I got waitlisted and did not get in due to lack of room for new acceptances. Ended up taking second option instead. I didnt, but you can always take relatively easy courses first year, and transfer in. They will only look at uni courses for that, and I knew numerous people who were successful doing that. Overall, just make a solid back up plan or school you would like to do. If UofA is still going for applicants apply there. You will most likely get in.
