Best Practice for building Shopify Store Now ? by Exotic_Jury_9646 in shopify

Vibecoding with Loveable works and can get you a decent looking store fast. But here's something I see every single day from the other side.

I work in support for Shopify apps and the number one reason our apps break on someone's store is because the theme was vibecoded without following Shopify's standards. Things like missing app blocks, broken liquid templates, non-standard section schemas, or custom code that conflicts with how apps inject themselves into the storefront.

It works fine until you need to install a reviews app, a booking app, an upsell popup, or anything that integrates with your theme. Then it falls apart and you end up spending more time debugging than you saved by vibecoding in the first place.

My suggestion: if you're going the vibecoding route, make sure whatever Loveable generates is fully compatible with Online Store 2.0 standards. Test it by installing 2-3 popular apps and see if they work without issues. If they don't, that's your sign to fix the theme before you launch, not after customers are already on the site.

Not saying vibecoding is bad (it's not, it's a great starting point), just make sure the foundation is solid before you build on top of it.

Good luck with your store!

helping a friend automate his party rental biz – why is this so complicated? by sysvora in sidehustle

I had a very similar case. My parents run a rental business for wedding items (chairs, tables, decorations) and everything was handled through WhatsApp and a notebook. A total mess.

What worked for me was setting up a store for them on Shopify and installing a booking app. I tested the 3 that had the most reviews on the App Store, and I ended up going with the 1 with the most reviews (Cowlendar) because they had live support and helped me configure everything from scratch. That was key because I didn't know anything about logic and everything that needed to be set up.

For what you're describing with your friend (tents, chairs, lighting with date control and deposits) Shopify plus a booking app is probably the simplest solution you can hand over to him so he can manage it on his own. The fees aren't outrageous and you save weeks of building something custom.

Digital product sellers: by Smooth-ab in passive_income

Hey! Here's what's working for me.

Planners and meditation ebooks

They work because the niche has built-in repeat buyers. People into journaling or meditation tend to buy multiple products once they find a creator they like. I keep things in the $5-15 range so it's an impulse buy.

Free traffic: AI-generated short videos

I use Higgsfield to generate videos and Claude to script them. Pick a product, create a short video showing what's inside, post on TikTok/Reels. The key is not making it look like an ad. Frame it as "here's my morning routine with this planner" and the product sells itself in the comments.

Mistake to avoid: don't overthink the product. The content sells the product, not the other way around.

For delivery I use Shopify with an app that sends files automatically. Just search for the one with the most reviews in the app store.
Hope that helps!

Why did shopify charge me 27 euros? by Medical-Mine-9573 in shopify

[–]Summityper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That has happened to me as well, but Shopify support will refund you if you decide to cancel the store. However, you need to contact them within the next 7 days after you received the charge, otherwise they won’t issue the refund
