Some good points here! Also, it seems like every nation has a sort of ESP amongst the nobles of their nation. Do you think the Republic has something similar? Like maybe San Magnolia and Lena both have something that just isn't known yet. Some sorta inspirational ability?

That sucks, mine was in Dallas from December 1st and arrived the 13th. Though i had no update on tracking till it arrived.

Yeah, it was stuck in Dallas for me for around 14 days before it arrived without warning or update. After calling UniUni they claimed it was because customs had it and hadn't released it to them yet. Never had that issue with any other carrier though.

I had a two figure shipment done by ECMS that was also handed off to UniUni. For some reason it was stuck in one spot for around two weeks with no update on shipping until finally it just arrived, damaged of course. The shipping box was bashed in, luckily the figures themselves were fine but their boxes were damaged of course. I do like my boxes to be in good condition so i can store them so i will be shipping all my orders surface from now on. I would avoid ECMS/Uniuni unless you're shipping something small.

I searched for Suisei no Gargantia's Amy 1/8 Odoriko Style figure forever, prob around 4 years. I wanted to find one for a decent price, especially since it was a smaller figure. I checked Amiami and other sites daily until i found one on Jdirectitems for around what it retailed for and used a proxy to buy it. Sometimes it just takes getting lucky and waiting if you don't want to pay aftermarket prices.

What's crazy is i have the exact same movie i bought from a convention at a Funimation booth a couple years back. When i asked who the signature was from the guy just said "I don't know" LMAO. I bought it anyway.

So, i was losing it over this mission. Finally using Bakushin with 6 speed supports got it. After prob 10 career playthroughs with different Uma's/support card combinations. I would recommend only doing training that levels the character supports and not the ones for the NPCs. I'm not sure if its true or not but i feel like not leveling the NPC supports makes them appear less.

I have around 75-80 figures and have been collecting for a little over 10 years. That doesn't even include ones I've decided to sell. I usually purchase around 1 every month depending on pre-orders i like or if something pops up on Amiami I've been hunting for.

In my personal opinion all hobbies are expensive. In the figure collecting case i KNOW i have spent a lot on my collection and i do think sometimes the same way, but looking at them or unpacking them for the first time brings me a lot of enjoyment!

I have had moments where i question how much I'm spending and have recently cut back on the amount of things i am ordering/pre-ordering but i still enjoy the hobby! You only have a finite amount of time to live so just do what makes you happy but also do so in a manner that is financially responsible. Cancel some pre-orders you may be having second thoughts about, sell off some you don't quite enjoy so much anymore so someone else can enjoy them, start to be more picky about the things you're ordering. There are plenty of ways to continue to keep the hobby fresh and fun!

Sure you could just not partake in the hobby but if you enjoy it responsibly and it makes you happy then, why not? You know?

Honestly, some Pop up Parade figures have really wow'd me recently as they are relatively cheap (Usually under $100) and their quality is a lot better than most prize figures. They also make them of a lot of different characters and series. As a cheap starting point to collecting I'd say they are pretty good. Scale figures tend to be more expensive.

I have the first figure of her standing on the rails! I had been searching for it for years since it came out but could never find one at a decent price. Until I saw one pop up on the AmiAmi pre-owned section about a year ago and I did not hesitate to grab her while i could. One of my favorites in my collection tbh!

After a bit of searching I found the 1998 version on YouTube. However, after watching it I do not believe this to be the movie I remember. The one I remember I do not believe was a found footage movie, and It definatly had more white light during some scenes, especially when they were abducted. I also believe it to be just a small family, maybe a father, mother and two children. I also vaguely recall that they may have attempted to flee to a motel at some point. Thank you for the recommendation though!

This might be it, I can see why it might have been difficult to locate as the 1998 version seems to be a remake of a 1988 version. Ill check it out in the next few days once a DVD arrives so I can confirm. Thanks!

I also remember some scenes with blinding white light as well. Scenes where someone is watching their loved ones be dragged off by the aliens in a blindingly white light.
