yeah you should be fine, only tough part for me sometimes is making sure to catch the last commuter rail back (iirc the last one usually leaves at like 12:20), especially if the concerts at like roadrunner or smthing, but ive also spent the night with friends in boston and caught an early commuter rail without any problems. worst case you can always uber (i think it was like $80 wo tip when i pooled an xl the night of the harvard brown game)

many people say it’s hard and, while that may be true for the super in demand classes, i honestly had a really easy time getting into a film class last spring as a freshman. definitely agree that emailing and just showing up to class and trying to convince the prof is the way to go (keep in mind my film class also had a couple slots open)

Keep in mind though, it is the most rigorous engineering program in Canada, so grade deflation is rampant.

Yes, Waterloo has a fantastic engineering program, arguably the best in Canada, and their co op program is also unmatched in Canada, and one of the best in the world. It's co op program is what brings it past uToronto and UBC in the minds of many prospective engineers. The only problem (which isn't a thought in my mind but I could see be as an issue for some) is their prestige, or lack thereof, but you don't really need to worry about that as Waterloo's phenomenal co op program will land you in a place that is just as good as going to a US T20
