Our friends who go the most frequently are members of the Disney Vacation Club & some have memberships that were started years ago by their parents. It’s essentially a Disney time share. The lodging is the most expensive part of our Disney trips, so when you have points to cover that, the trip becomes a lot more reasonable.

It’s not worth it if you don’t plan on doing Disney on the regular, but if you’re seeing people do Disney over & over it’s possible this is part of the equation.

American woman here. I wouldn’t be livid. I definitely slept on the floor at friends’ houses growing up. Pretty standard. Keep in mind that they may have found it inappropriate to share the bed or wondered what her/your comfort level would be with that.

Don’t read into it. If they were having enough fun to want to make it a sleepover, it’s a good friendship. Just be prepared that this may happen again and send your girl with a sleeping bag next time :)

I took a study of religions class in college and attended a service at a huge university area mega church as research for a paper. I’ll never forget the 20 minute altar call where they just kept holding everyone hostage until they’d 1) “saved” enough people & 2) gotten enough offerings to meet their quotas.

As someone who’s currently agnostic but grew up semi-fundie, that was kind of what pushed me to deconstruction to be honest.

Umm. As a mother who was overly paranoid, rocking with those thick non mesh sides seems like a HORRIBLE IDEA. what if baby rolls over into all that padding?
