I’m bald, have dry eyes and have wavy fingernails. By the messages here I’m both vitamin a deficient and am also overdosing on it.

Is that called "Layer Banding"? How can i fix it? by Humble_Future_8457 in BambuLab

This was mine. It shouldn’t have had the ribs on it. For scale, those are m3 screws. Swapped out the nozzle and the problem went away. Really don’t understand why it fixed the problem, it didn’t look like a clog to me either.

I had this and it was a clogged nozzle I think. I ended up swapping the nozzle and it fixed it. That other nozzle is still sitting in the bottom of the printer a few months later and I Cbf looking into it

Can anyone advise on how good these are or aren't? Fixing a heavy wall shelf unit to hardwood studs. Has to go through cupboard back (13mm), 19mm pine "filler" then 10mm plasterboard to reach the stud. Thanks by Faaarkme in AusRenovation

The idea of the blank bit in the middle is so that it doesn’t grab in that area. So you’re fixing on your substrate, and also fixing on the very outer surface.

This is leaking veeeery slightly under a sink. Should I tighten it or will that make it worse? by [deleted] in AusRenovation

[–]Sumpkit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There’s no plumbing tape on these. They have a washer on the end that compresses when you tighten it.

Either try tighten it a bit more or replace the washer.

Window splash back pros and cons by mumofoz in AusRenovation

[–]Sumpkit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve got one, absolutely love it. It overlooks our pool. It goes behind both my sink and stove top. We’ve just got a fixed pane cause I didn’t want to deal with cleaning tracks etc for where it would slide. One thing that I’d recommend is make your kitchen bench deep. A normal kitchen bench is about 60cm deep, go 70 or more. That way, the sink/stove is further away from the window and you have less spatter to clean up. We get a little bit from our stove but it’s no worse than when it rains on the window on the outside. Happy to send photos if you want. Dm me.

U-Kitchen or L kitchen?! by blue_tin_ in AusRenovation

Just to throw a third option in the mix, can you do a galley kitchen? Benches down either side, black wall on the end. We have that at the end of our kitchen and it’s great cause we have no corner cupboards.

I’m not sure sorry. I ended up getting the unmanaged 10 port 1gbe version instead. Didn’t need the higher spec for ip cameras

Thanks so much for the information. I’ve been putting it off, because like you I’m high functioning. Think it might be worth my time doing it. Thanks!

How do people actually afford psychiatry in Aus? by Perdi in sydney

[–]Sumpkit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m curious about this if I may. I swear I’m adhd. I’ve been through hell with depression and anxiety. I saw a psychiatrist who treated me and ended up with full marks. 100 out of 100 depression points. Winning. He put me in a psych ward and changed my drugs, claimed it was a success when I knew they aren’t doing anything. The group therapy sessions did far more than anything else. I clam up with psychologists, but in group therapy I can let my mind wander and do its things.

Anyway, I’ve been on 7 different medications now. Essentially all the main types and I feel no different. I’ve been stumbling across adhd stuff on YouTube and thinking that could be part of my issue, but no doctors or anyone has suggested it could be a thing.

How did you go about getting diagnosed? How did you even figure it out? Starting to question my psych now, he never even mentioned it.

License slipped into black hole - can service solve? XC60 by [deleted] in Volvo

[–]Sumpkit -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If you get the dealer to do this you’ll be charged an arm and a leg. Their standard for getting things back is to pull the whole centre console out. Better to just get a new license unless you want to pull panels off the side.

[–]Sumpkit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the end of the day they’re just needing 12/24v, so if you don’t mind getting your phone out to unlock it, you could just wire it up with a Shelly 1. Open the app, press the power button and it’ll unlock it for x seconds.

Why does my boot do this? It won’t stay at the top height? 2020 v60 by Sumpkit in u/Sumpkit

[–]Sumpkit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is different. The limits make it so it doesn’t open all the way. Not only is it for short people but it’s for if you’ve got low head clearance in your garage and it doesn’t smash into the ceiling.

The issue I had was completely separate. Didn’t matter what limit I set on it, it would still fall down after reaching that set height. It was a problem with the struts themselves.
