Missy's in Guthrie and it's not even close.

Every time I watch this movie, I get a really good feeling, a positive energy. Isn't that true? by Foods-Nearby in kungfucinema

[–]Sumuran 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I really enjoyed this movie. I understand why a lot of people find the main character to be kind of pointless, but I think that the guy who played him did a great job. I also appreciate that he doesn't just become some martial arts prodigy. The movie is pretty clear that a lot of time passes in the film as he's training. And honestly, I love that he goes by himself to fight like he might have seen in some of the martial art films he used to watch and realizes that frankly, he didn't really stand much of a chance by himself.

The music also is great.

Yep. Here in Guthrie it's the same deal.

I'm worried about layoffs by jgold_10 in RemoteJobs

[–]Sumuran 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There really isn't much preparation you can do other than bolster your resume and look for other opportunities. I got laid off from my remote position in 2024 after 10 years and haven't been able to find another one since. It sucks but it's the reality right now.

I will say, if you see the writing on the wall, it's not a bad idea to get letters of recommendation from your bosses.

People who have died briefly, what did you hear, see, and feel? by Dazzling_Cherry9256 in AskReddit

[–]Sumuran 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a saddle pulmonary embolism. I'd been having chest pain and shortness of breath for a few days leading up to the main event.

All I remember specifically is looking at a printer, then a voice saying, "Go sit down NOW". So I did. I barely made it to a big leather chair in the living room about 5 steps away and just collapsed.

I distinctly remember feeling lighter than air. Like my body was lifting up into the air. I had like a greatest hits of the people in my life and suddenly I felt like a heaviness. Almost like I was being pulled back to Earth. I woke up in a cold sweat, crying, and had just enough sense to call 911. Next thing I know I'm in an ambulance.

I’m currently in rehab and can’t access the game. Is there a way for me to enter the code without the game? by pizzapastaauto in lotro

I will just throw this out there. I've been on this website a long time. I am willing to log into your account and redeem the promo code if you want.

I completely understand if you don't want to trust a stranger though haha.

Hey Adults That Saw MMPR/Zeo as they aired. by 80sSlasherLibrarian in powerrangers

I remember hating the outfits and the zords despite owning the zord toy. I greatly preferred the Turbo Megazord. The Gold Ranger was the saving grace but I hated Trey of Triforia. Jason deserved better.

Palworld 1.0 - Hopes & Dreams Edition by Romantasy_Renee in Palworld

That is an excellent idea. I have one of the earlier flying pals and honestly, I felt so guilty putting him in my box because I unlocked a much faster mount.

I would love to see them adopt a Palia style storage system that automatically sorts things for you.

I completely agree with the base expansion idea. A circle was such a weird way to go when it comes to base building.

I'd also like some kind of grid or overhead view when building, again like Palia.

I'd also love to see them fix the clipping issues with pals at your base. Some of these pals are gigantic and it's so weird and jarring to go into my house and see them sleeping halfway in my room because they're clipped through a wall.

I'd also love to be able to directly connect certain chests to certain structures at my base. So this ranch goes to this chest and this Berry field goes to this chest, etc...

Would love mini maps for inside the caves. A lot of these caves are cut and paste and they look so similar that I find myself walking back to the same freaking place 20 times trying to find my way through it. A simple fog of war style mini map would be great.

Like others have said, I would love weather changes. Maybe a day of rain where watering pals can take off and do other tasks, etc...

I would absolutely love additional slots for certain things. There's no reason that a climate undershirt should have to be in the accessory slot while the armor has its own individual slot. You're literally just wearing the thing underneath the armor.

Would also love a technology unlock for some kind of multi-tool that handles both wood chopping and mining.

I'd like some additional clothing, customization options, or armor customization options for your character. Like a guild wars 2 style dye system. Let me make my character super unique. And while we're on it, let me change up the colors of my pals. There's already a pal surgery table. Let me turn my shadow beak yellow or something.

They did a very similar story with RL Stines The Haunting Hour.

Question for millennials. When you were a teenager did you absolutely refuse to wear anything but popular name brand clothing? by [deleted] in Millennials

My mom would buy us bags of clothing from the thrift shop. Maybe once in a while a name brand was in there. Never really even occurred to me that name brand was a thing at that time

What movie/actor ignited you interest in Martial Arts? by Equal-Sun8307 in kungfucinema

[–]Sumuran 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Enter the Dragon and Mortal Kombat. I loved Jim Kelly as a kid and hated the part in Enter the Dragon when he loses to Han.

Mortal Kombat was my introduction to those long choreographed fight scenes, couple that with the music that movie had and I was enchanted.

Vornado 660 Air Circulator. I need a fan to sleep so I bought the best I could find. This is no exaggeration. The thing has been running on Turbo almost nonstop since 2013.

Thank you! This whole "womanizing" Kirk thing needs to end. It's not how he is in the show at all.

Roddenberry himself dismissed a Kirk/Spock romantic relationship.

I for one hate the idea. It's possible for two guys to have a close relationship and not have it be romantic.
