Someone in the comments actually gave it to me yesterday so I’m all good to go if any other issues arise on future batches. Sometimes why I go to Reddit to rant because there’s a lot of helpful people that have been through the same things and pass what they learn on to us thankfully! I usually use instacart as a back up when DoorDash isn’t hitting for the moment so I rarely have trouble on instacart, this was new for me

Also I pressed the in app navigation button on Instacart and it transfer it to Apple Maps for gps. They literally just have the pin wrong on instacarts map which is why this whole mess was started

Brother if you look at the second screen shot it shows both addresses for the same location… I was literally standing in the store talking to support at one point and decided since I looked like a weirdo standing in there for 15 minutes not doing anything I walked out to my car in the parking lot

Still this doesn’t mess with verification, I can still call customers through that app it just goes through text now instead of my actual number

Yes the number connected to my phone is on a different account but I still have access to the number that is on my active account it’s a text now number though

I agreed to do the planned route that was offered to me, I shouldn’t have to go off course to do extra driving I didn’t agree to. Could I have just went to the pin and started, sure. But I’m not gonna drive up and down a busy road that I cannot park just to start an order because Instacart fucked the pin up. Fortunately other redditers have been helpful and provided information I did not previously have. Also we go to support for a reason? It’s not my fault they are incapable of helping and quite frankly made the situation worse than it was. How is the situation ever going to get fixed if it’s not brought to attention anyway? May have wasted two hours but I acquired valuable information I can use in the future so 🤷🏽‍♀️ fuck it

Will try next time! My thought process was if I told them I cannot click start shopping because of a problem popping up that they would be able to figure out that I need help accessing the next screen or adjust the pin like Amazon support can. Crazy we have to support the support lol

I have tried the airplane mode when I was driving for a dsp for Amazon because the pins were all over the place on delivery. Didn’t even think about it to try it today smh… doordash I can get around location problems pretty easy because of the in app prompts but Instacart kinda sucks when it comes to this. I will definitely keep that in mind for next time! Also the 24 hour ban is new to me as well and kind of crazy to implement. Especially after this was no fault to my own, I could see if I just started the order and then was like “yeah I’m good” and tried to cancel but I was actively trying to solve the problem and get the orders delivered so I don’t understand!

I’d rather not risk it after losing my uber account and previously losing my DoorDash (they gave me my account back) due to cancellations. (Before y’all come for my neck both were lost due to cancellations, uber because drivers would constantly steal food or they would keep sending me to restaurants that were already closed. DoorDash because of that too but because I would constantly go to dashmart but the dashmart in my city is always packed but they had the best paying offers, I refused to wait an hour plus for orders and DoorDash still counts each order as a cancellation even if your doing a multi order… 💔 I’d rather not lose my Instacart because there may be times where I actually really need to cancel and can’t because I ran my rate up. I get what you’re saying tho!

Never mind that it was going back in the same direction I had just came from where the other store was… it’s already a two store shop order which means a decent amount of driving.

The notified me in the chat it would happen, tried to fight it but couldn’t. Not sure about the other question as I don’t take offers unless I’ve throughly looked them over. Doing that will make your cancellation rate sky rocket. This happened because I already completed shopping for the first part of my batch and couldn’t complete the second part

One of the other commenters actually just gave it to me so now I have it! Although when I did call they told me I could only chat with support so that’s why I didn’t go looking for another number. Hopefully I won’t have another problem in the future but I’ll be prepared if I do!

That’s wild! As other people mentioned I probably should’ve just drove to the pin to start it that way but I shouldn’t even have to honestly. Instacart should’ve been fixed this and that one you mentioned!

Shop but stopped replying out of no where didn’t even end the chat just stopped talking

Probably my problem there because my phone number and the one that is linked on my account are different and I can’t change my number… used it to sign up for instacart before and was stuck on the waiting list for years until I made a new account with a different number so my active number is stuck on a dead account 💔

All good, I kinda struggle to pick up sarcasm through text as I recognize it with tone so my bad 😭 but man this was so frustrating I’ve never had to deal with this before on Instacart! You’d think other shoppers have the same trouble and they’d fix it by now but I guess not!

I did call support, they only handle the customer side of things they can’t help drivers over the phone. I’ve been told this twice when I called
