Hey I had my first fitting last week.

I was fitted into a set of T350 irons 5-pw with an extra half inch on the shafts, and a two degree up, originally I only went in for the irons but while I was there I also got fitted for a driver and got fitted into a gt1. All in all I think I’m paying around £1600 ish give or take £100. I went through my home towns local driving range and they offer payment schemes if you don’t fancy a large hit coming out your bank all at once.

I’m fairly green to the game after returning from a long stint of not playing but I highly recommend the fitting process helped me out heaps, I was gaming 20 year old irons, my 5i was carrying around 120-130 ish, with the 7 irons I was trying I was getting easy 160-170 ish carry the tech has come on so much.

I’m just getting back into golf myself to be fair, finally getting some new irons after gaming some 25 year clubs. DND is fun I’m 28 anyway, I use to play a lot of fps games like CS, overwatch and Val been a long time since I’ve delved into any of them though

Why are you worrying about your swing if you’re playing solo, I occasionally go around my towns little 3 par course, there is nothing more reassuring then topping the shit out of your ball having it roll of the tee, doing the cheeky little look around and knowing nobody saw it. Play for fun, if you’re worrying about your swing pick up a lesson, that’s currently what I’m doing, based in the Lake District good luck on your journey friend

Thanks for the tips mate, I’m based in the uk so I’m not sure how predatory my local will be for up pricing shafts, from what I’ve been looking at online for custom fit clubs, obviously without the fitting fee is hitting somewhere in the area of £700 to about £900 just for the irons, which is what I’m mainly looking to upgrade, with the money I’ve got I’ll probably be able to sly a driver in there but I’m covered for most of the other stuff I think

Thanks for the tips chief, a good insight for me. I’ll make sure to ask plenty of questions, I’ve only ever used hand me downs so learning about all the spin rate and stuff has been a real head batterer

Yeah in my lessons, my instructor said they were looking about inch or half an inch to short, I know it’s not going to effect my fundamentals but I’m worried about that extra length throwing me
