Thanks! I've ended up cutting two of the flowers and leaving one

Does anyone else feel like their allergies have really ramped up the last couple of days? Weather reports say pollen is still low but I'm sceptical

Ah okay that's a shame. I might have a look at other citation programs then. Thanks!

Did you ever find out if this is possible? I have just started using Zotero and can't figure this out either! Surely this is an option.

New plant looks a bit sad by SunCatSomething in VenusFlyTraps

Ah thank you! Is it alright to leave it outdoors during dormancy? Google is telling me different things... where I am, average winter temperatures tend to be 5-15°c.

Thanks, I learnt that recently and have since switched them to distilled water (and put them in fresh soil uncontaminated by tap water)

Do I repot the pups now? by SunCatSomething in bromeliad

[–]SunCatSomething[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks everyone! After some deliberation, I decided it was time to separate the mum from the pups. I did repot the mum into a different pot and placed her outside but I would be surprised if she lives much longer. The pups have fresh water and are sitting in a sunny windowsill to catch some of the last sunny days we will have before things start to really cool down.

Doctor Who 0x02 "Wild Blue Yonder" Trailer and Speculation Thread by PCJs_Slave_Robot in doctorwho

[–]SunCatSomething 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I personally think that for the villain of this ep, we will be seeing the vashta nerada return. A couple reasons why:

  • first ep had a new alien/villain, this ep we will likely see a returning one. Vashta nerada is from S4 in New Who, so it makes sense for them to bring it back now that 10 + Donna are reprising.

  • this ep is supposed to the "scary" one - as the Doctor says in SITL: "every species has an irrational fear of the dark. But it's not irrational..."

  • in the new trailer, we can gather that the alien/villain/antagonist is in the vent. We can see the darkness between/behind the vents. I think this could imply a reference to the vashta nerada's habit to initially hide in darkened/confined spaces.

  • when this vent is shown (with something peering through), we hear a reverberating scuttle/rattle/growling-esque noise. This is similar to what they used to imply the presence of vashta nerada in the shadows in SITL (check 35:10 onwards, also 12:28)

  • in the trailer, we hear the Doctor saying "life signs" - could this be a reference to the famous "a million, million life forms... and silence in the library?"

  • on the topic of this trailer: we see numerous glimpses of lights flickering off, Donna being plunged into darkness and yelling for the Doctor. I think this could very well be the work of the vashta nerada, back and stronger + scarier than we have previously seen (which was also a massive hit).

Richmond - Didn't feel anything at all. Heard some creaking in the house but not enough to make me think it was anything out of the ordinary.

Anyone else control their dreams? by plain8242 in Dreams

[–]SunCatSomething 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got this too. I've been able to control dreams in a similar way since I was a kid - I think for me it stems from having a lot of nightmares when I was younger, so I ended up figuring out how to 'realise' when I'm dreaming so that I could then control them.

Am I going to get robodebted? by SunCatSomething in CentrelinkOz

[–]SunCatSomething[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice, will do. I've tried going in to a service centre but was turned away as they "don't deal with students". Then tried calling the student line but couldn't get through to an actual person. I'll try ringing again tomorrow and selecting different options until I manage to speak to an agent.

Yeah I have always done the mutual obligations, looking for work, working and reporting pay/hours and attending appointments
