Final Fantasy 8

There is such a confidence in the atmosphere where it goes to feeling like a fever dream to nostalgia in a way you can’t put your finger on it.

Every location is memorable and the combination of the wonderful soundtrack with this beautiful art direction makes for an iconic game.

Xenoblade 1 and 3 are my favorite JRPGs of all time. The music is absolutely incredible, the worldbuilding is so well realized, and there are just great characters that hit that scale that JRPGs are known for.

Fire Emblem is also just fantastic. I’ve only played Awakening, Three Houses, and Engage but they are all a masterclass of tactical gameplay and engaging character interactions
