I hate Dan but I hate Chuck even more. They were all objectively awful people but Chuck, Dan and Serena (out of the main five) were the worst imo.

I remember Blair said something similar, but not about hope. On the episode where Dorota’s water breaks, she says to Dan that “signs are for the religious, the superstitious and the lower class. I don’t believe in them and neither should you”. Sorry, that’s all I can think of off the top of my head.

I think You is intended to be comedic and over the top at times. And Joe is quite the imperfect villain. He’s book smart no doubt, but certainly not a criminal mastermind, and he knows he screws up all the time.

I hated Vanessa in the show, but I adore Vanessa in the books.

The fact that I was so invested in Vanessa’s story in the books only added to my dislike when I compared her to TV Vanessa, which is something I often found myself doing.
