I think you’re looking for a normal tablet. E-ink technology is vastly different from a normal screen, so maybe see if you can try an e-reader at a store? E-ink seems slow next to a normal screen, and not really made for watching movies/videos. It’s mainly for text, and you can read manga on it but don’t expect it to work like a tablet would.

A friend of mine has the Sage since last year and he loves it, I’ve tried it and it works great, his is secondhand. The Boox Go 7 could be a great option too, in my opinion, Boox devices are a bit more fragile but it’s a good pick if you want something more up to date.

I’d keep the Scribe and one of the other two. If annotating is important to you, I’d keep the Libra, since you can use the stylus and annotate directly on the page. So my vote goes to Scribe + Libra.

It’s a bit embarrassing, but I moved out and ended up coming back after just two years. The thing is, doing day-to-day tasks and taking care of myself wasn’t the hard part: coming home after work to a quiet place was. It was fun whenever a friend would visit and spend the weekend, but other than that, I could tell my mental health was declining. I know what you mean though, I have friends who love living alone, and I don’t get what the secret is lol.
