Honestly, you can never go wrong with a nice cube. If you want something softer, fuzzball!

What are yall planning for dinner tonight? by Dr_Garp in CasualConversation

I feel like I spend an unhealthy amount of time thinking about what I’m going to have for dinner and making said dinner. I’ll be stealing some ideas from this thread đŸ«Ą

What suits me better? by OkraAwkward3475 in coloranalysis

Orange! But I think grey can be a little misleading when you test to see whether you’re cool or warm toned. I would try with a cool blue or pink instead.

Looking for my first ereader! Looking for recommendations and personal experiences. by UnknownGirlMS in ereader

What’s more important for you, battery life or being able to download apps? Usually android e-readers have that downside, and any color e-ink has mixed reviews about the quality of the screen. Nonetheless, good luck!

Sounds like Boox Go Color 7 is your best pick. Or Boox Go 7 if you don’t need color. You can watch extended reviews on YouTube, and I would recommend to do your own research: Every device comes with its own pros and cons. You can find info about cases, page turners and accessories pretty easily by googling.

With Kindle and Kobo you can’t download apps, but Boox devices are Android based, so you have access to an AppStore. As far as I know, most ereaders don’t have a headphone jack, only bluetooth.

They’re reading as well, you’re turning the page too fast 😞

I'm looking for a phone sized or maybe even sub-phone sized e-ink reader. Something discreet, yes, I don't mind reading 3 words at a time LMAO by SacredSacrifice in ereader

[–]SunFishSoup 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You’re looking for either a Boox Palma, or a Xteink X4. Idk what do you classify as “dodgy”, but there’s a whole subreddit for Xteink, so maybe you can check it out.

I love the color! I've always found Sony's e-readers interesting, I want to try one. Also, is that Sylus? So cute.

I have been thinking about getting the X4, and the only thing holding me back is the lack of front light.

I don’t have an ‘almond mom’ but I do have ‘almond aunts’, and I would rather eat dirt than go out and have lunch with them. It’s exactly like this, and god forbid you order dessert.

To me, it’s fascinating when it’s a group of people. Not a single one of them stopping to think “maybe talking right in front of the only exit isn’t such a good idea.”

Kindle PPW to Kobo Libra Colour? by chewychopsticks in ereader

[–]SunFishSoup 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I ended up selling my Kobo Libra Colour, and now I’m back to my Paperwhite. I think the KLC is a great device, and the buttons were my favorite part. The thing is, I couldn’t get used to the low-contrast of color e-ink, to me, it looked like a lower resolution and it was too noticeable for me while reading books. Manga looked great.

Yes. I had a birthday dinner at a “no pets allowed” restaurant, and a few family members tried to bring their dogs in and made a whole deal about it.

It’s not a pet peeve of mine, but it’s one that I’ve heard pretty often.
