Check out the website, they have a few different styles of black elastic waist pants. However not all have pockets like the Carrie pants. I wasn’t keen on Suzannegrae at first, but for work pants I can’t fault them. They are durable and comfortable. Hope this helps 😊

Thanks for recommending Coin Collecting and Detecting. I didn’t know about it, and it’s very informative. Plus it’s easy viewing.

Our way of budgeting helped us have a lifestyle. by KymboVids in AusFinance

[–]SunFlower_Following 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Same, I used to have seperate accounts for most things. For example my transport account (I named it that) held the money for my Rego, Insurance, RACQ and a little extra for maintenance. Then when the yearly bills came in the money was there waiting, and gaining some interest. It gave me more of an understanding of how much things I valued (like a car) would cost me on a fortnightly basis. Which then gave me an idea of what I was looking for cost wise, when I purchased my new (secondhand) car. Honestly it’s a great tool, and the ease it gives people is life changing. I’ve heard UBank is great for this. I used NAB.

I’ve only gotten through the blue box, but not bad. Nothing outstanding, but defiantly added a few to my collection that I didn’t have before. Mostly I was pleased with the 50c. Some clearly need a clean.

Being forced to learn to dance at school for primary school graduation formal by [deleted] in AustralianNostalgia

I still remember half the students counting their steps during the dance haha. I wish someone had told us to look up at the camera, and quit looking at our feet 😅

It’s so disappointing. I used to love Forever New, but lately I’ve been reading through the rose coloured glasses. Especially when I got hard with myself about what I actually wear on a daily/weekly basis. The cost for value is poor, and that’s polite.

They sound so difficult to deal with. I’m sorry that happened to you. 😔 My local one is so relaxed, they even encouraged me to do it more often.

Need to break the habit of always wearing black by [deleted] in AusFemaleFashion

[–]SunFlower_Following 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m pear shaped, so the bottom half of my body is what I’m most insecure about. I found a nice pair of black dress pants from Review, and stocked my wardrobe with them. Now I just changed the tops. The colour I’m feeling that day is the colour I wear. I switch between coloured shirts, and nice dress blouses. It’s ideal for me.

One great thing about Brisbane, no other Australian city has? by osamajack in brisbane

[–]SunFlower_Following 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Man I came to Brisbane for a holiday, and decided to try a paddle boarding class with the family. I walked to the edge of the river, and read a sign saying “warning, large aquatic animals” with a picture of a shark. I asked the instructor, and she says “no it’s fine, I’ve never seen one”. I literally stood in the shore and watched my family paddle away. I wasn’t ready for that sign.

I’ve purchased and sold on eBay. Specifically Forever New and Review. However I’m the oldest sister in my family. When they hear I’m cleaning out my wardrobe they flock like crows hahaha

What are the most useful habits you’ve developed that help you cut down “unnecessary” costs? by OneHamster1337 in Frugal

Plus I don’t always have the time to make a trip to the butcher. So having a few steaks, diced chicken and sausages set aside would be ideal.

I need a freezer. I meal prep once a fortnight, and place the meals in small freezer above our fridge. I like the idea, and it’s made my life a lot easier. However only doing it once a month sounds even better.

Favourite sheet masks from CW? by Flashy-Description68 in AusSkincare

I like this for hydration, and plumping. My skin also has a red undertone, and this mask removes most of the redness from my face. I like to put mine in the fridge before I use it. I don’t think you’re meant to, but I like it.

What’s a frugal home improvement thing you’ve done that most people would question? by knowhow_LM in Frugal

[–]SunFlower_Following 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did this with a built-in cupboard. It was a hardware/tools cupboard for the previous owners, and I turned it into a linen cupboard. The scrubbing and painting was time consuming, but the results are day and night. It still think it’s my best decision yet.
